Influence: Science and Practice is an examination of the psychology of compliance (i.e. uncovering which factors cause a person to say "yes" to another's request).

Influence is one of those books that changes how you see everything. Cialdini breaks persuasion into six simple “cheat codes”—reciprocity, commitment/consistency, social proof, authority, liking, scarcity (later adds “unity”). The stories make it click, and you’ll start spotting free samples, countdown timers, and “bestseller” badges everywhere. It’s super practical, and he’s big on using this stuff ethically, not as sleazy tricks.

A must listen for anyone.

Amazing info for anyone and everyone. I only ran into one minor annoyance. this recording was copied from a CD and every once in a while it'll instruct the listener to switch to the next CD. no need for alarm, the book continues on, shortly after this instruction.
