BEST P.D. James I’ve read!

I enjoyed everything about this erudite “page-turner”. (By the by, when we listen to books, there must be a better phrase than page-turner?)
My only quibble is that the narrator made no pause, at all, between the last word of the previous chapter, running immediately into the new chapter. A small thing but I found it off-putting. It also took a bit to get used to the extremely ‘plummy’ voice of the narrator but once I did, it really was very suitable.
In summation, this is a really “smart” mystery; the settings, the amazing characterizations and the overall plot were superbly crafted. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
