These narrators are both great, but boy do I feel like they should have been cast in opposite roles from what they were. Sorry, but Lori Prince is best in comedy which this is decidedly not and it's really strange to me that she was cast as the anxious one with a traumatic past. I wouldn't say Quinn Riley was miscast the same way as her gentleness suits the role she played, but her quiet contemplativeness would 100% have worked better for Esther. It's a good book, but that messed with me the entire time. This book is very much about healing from serious things and as such it may not be what you're looking for if you're in the market for lighthearted escapism. On the other hand, if you're looking for a story about a character healing and learning to embrace more healthy relationship dynamics when toxic ones still haunt her then this book is for you.
