Story
The sixth book in the Dawn of the Clans series takes listeners back to the earliest days of the Clans, when the cats first settled in the forest and began to forge the warrior code. After moons of strife, the forest cats have settled into five camps. But now, the dangerous rogue Slash has kidnapped Clear Sky's mate, Star Flower, and made demands for prey that the cats cannot afford to meet. Desperate to save Star Flower, Clear Sky must convince the other groups - led by Tall Shadow, Wind Runner, Thunder, and River Ripple - to join forces, or their new way of life may not survive.

Amazing Story!
This is a good book. The story is excellent, but Greypaw’s voice isn’t the best. It isn’t what I imagined. I’ve read the graphic novels, and these have more interesting content, but the graphic novels portray the characters better. Read this if you liked the first book. If you have not read the first one, go read that first.

The narration is awful!
I had to return this one. This narrator absolutely butchers the voices, fire paw is alright, but the way he voices grey paw is a complete travesty.
I grew up reading these and can't say enough how much I love these books but I could not get through the first hour listening to it read this way. I really don't know what they were thinking letting him voice characters like that. 😕 so disappointing.

Brings Warriors to life!
I have loved this series since I was 13 and was so excited to see that they finally narrated the whole first Arc...The others arcs are out of order and I hope they fix those as well but that's not why I am here. MacLeod Andrews is a perfect narrator for Firepaw and I love the energy he brings to the books. He has always made the stories more alive with his emphasis and narration style.
The story itself is fresh and exciting and makes you wish you were a cat and every cat you will see the rest of your life will have a warrior name and backstory by the time you are done petting it. Im not joking...its like, a problem.
The only comment I have is that I don't like Graypaws lisp...like whats up with that? Haha

As a child I missed out...
On such a great story! I recall wanting to read Warriors but as I got older, my eye sight had gotten increasingly worse. Now I can hardly focus my eyes on one sentence, forget having to read a paragraph multiple times to understand what I read! I'm so happy that Audible finally released a audiobook of this series! I found this book charming, witty, and very emotional for a story about cat clans. I was surprised to find that the book was actually quite violent and dark, not too much though. I also enjoyed the narrator's take on the voices he was depicting. I know some didn't like Greypaw's lisp but I found it rather endearing and gave him personality. I didn't find it annoying at all but to each their own. I definitely recommend reading this book. I've been suggesting it to everyone. The best I can describe it is that it's the Secret of Nimh or Watership Down of cats!

Brilliant Adventure Story
My seven year old son and I listened to this book together and we both loved it! He recommends it for anyone aged 6-12 who likes animals and excitement.
The story is captivating and filled with suspense, drama, and comedy. The narrator was brilliant at performing different characters’ voices and at changing the pace and tone to express a range of emotions.

Why I Love The Warrior Cats: A Summary of the Series
When I was in the fourth grade, my friend showed me this book. Then our whole class started reading them, so I wanted to check these out. And great StarClan, I'm glad am did!
These books are thrilling! Now, I've been reading them for about two years, even though I admit they've kind of been pushed to the back of my mind since I've started reading Wings of Fire. I'm currently on Dark River, and I have lots of reasons for loving this series.
In Into the Wild, a housecat, or kittypet, named Rusty dreams of hunting in the forest. He meets a warrior cat apprentice (a young cat training to be a warrior cat) named Graypaw. The leader of ThunderClan, Bluestar, offers Rusty the chance to train as an apprentice himself. In ThunderClan, with the new name of Firepaw, he meets Ravenpaw: a scared apprentice who knows more than he would like, Spottedleaf: the beautiful medicine she-cat that stole his heart, Lionheart: the courageous deputy of ThunderClan, and Tigerclaw: the dangerous tom who might betray him in the end. As an apprentice, Firepaw learns the ways of the warrior cats, how to hunt and fight and survive in the forest. He befriends an elderly she-cat named Yellowfang, defeats the evil tyrant that has taken over ShadowClan, and uncovers a secret that can save ThunderClan.
In Fire and Ice, Firepaw and Graypaw, now warriors named Fireheart and Graystripe, still have to convince Bluestar that Tigerclaw is dangerous and save the Clan from the treacherous warrior. But Fireheart and Graystripe's friendship is strained when Graystripe falls in love with the daughter of Crookedstar, leader of RiverClan. Graystripe and Silverstream aren't allowed to be together because they're from different Clans, but that won't stop their love for each other. Fireheart tries to tell him to stay away from Silverstream, but Graystripe only gets angry with him and they stop speaking to each other. Spottedleaf, now a warrior of StarClan, visits Fireheart in his dreams and tells him that he must beware a warrior he cannot trust. In his fury, he suspects Graystripe, whose loyalties are divided between his Clan and his true love. But then when a battle rages between the Clans, as he is being attacked by an enemy cat, he sees Tigerclaw watching him, doing nothing to help, and he is reminded that the warrior he cannot trust isn't his best friend, it's Tigerclaw.
In Forest of Secrets, Fireheart and Graystripe may be friends again, but their troubles are far from over. Fireheart is desperate to convince Bluestar that she can't trust her deputy. They find the answers to questions about the murder of Redtail, and who really killed Oakheart all those moons ago. Fireheart's former apprentice, Cinderpelt, the crippled she-cat, is getting on well as the medicine cat under the guidance of Yellowfang, but she is frazzled when she can't save Silverstream. But miraculously, she is able to save the lives of Graystripe's kittens. Back at camp, Tigerclaw fakes a rogue attack in order to confuse the Clan so he can sneak into Bluestar's den and kill her to become leader. Fireheart catches him, and he is banished from ThunderClan and Fireheart himself was made the new deputy. Although Featherkit and Stormkit are alive and healthy, Silverstream's death is only the beginning of Graystripe's troubles. The RiverClan cats keep insisting that the kittens should belong to them, since their mother was a RiverClan cat. Fireheart tells them to leave Graystripe alone, since he has already lost his mate, and he doesn't need to lose his kittens too. But Graystripe decided that it he can't remain in ThunderClan with his kittens, he's be willing to join RiverClan to keep hold of the last part of Silverstream he has left.
In Rising Storm, Tigerclaw is banished, and Fireheart is the new deputy of ThunderClan. But that doesn't mean that all is well with the Warrior cats. Bluestar is convinced that her Clan will betray her after Tigerclaw's attack. A drought has begun, and the forest hasn't seen rain in moons. Fireheart struggles with his new apprentice, Cloudpaw, who refuses to obey the Warrior code. Fireheart discovers that Cloudpaw has been sneaking out of camp to eat food given to him by humans, or twolegs, which is forbidden. Cloudpaw finally bites off more than he can chew when he gets captured by the twolegs. Later, with the help of Ravenpaw, Fireheart is able to get his apprentice back. But then a terrible fire destroys ThunderClan's territory, and Yellowfang is killed in the fire. RiverClan helps ThunderClan until they are able to return to their home. Bluestar remembers the prophecy that Spottedleaf delivered all that time ago: Fire Alone Can Save Our Clan. Bluestar forgets what the prophecy really means, and she loses her faith in StarClan.
In A Dangerous Path, Tigerclaw is back and more powerful than ever as Tigerstar, leader of ShadowClan. At first he seems harmless, just doing what's best for ShadowClan. But when Fireheart sees him murder Graypool, a RiverClan elder, he remembers that Tigerstar can't be up to anything good. Bluestar is at war with StarClan, and when she finds dead rabbits in her territory, she accuses WindClan of stealing prey. She tells ThunderClan that she is going to attack WindClan, but Fireheart knows that WindClan is innocent, and he asks Tallstar to meet Bluestar at Fourtrees so they can negotiate peace. The plan works, but Bluestar no longer trusts him after he went behind her back. Later, when RiverClan meets ThunderClan in battle, the new leader of RiverClan, Leopardstar, tries to attack Bluestar, and when Graystripe helps Bluestar instead of his Clan, Leopardstar banishes him. Bluestar, who downright doesn't care, allows him to return to ThunderClan. Then, mysterious things continue to happen in the forest. An apprentice named Swiftpaw is killed and another apprentice Brightpaw is badly injured by a monster the cats haven't experienced before. With the help of Longtail, Graystripe, and Sandstorm, Fireheart discovers the truth: Tigerstar has been leading a dog pack to get revenge on the Clan that exiled him. With Fireheart's plan and Sandstorm's swiftness, Fireheart was able to lead the dogs to the gorge, but they attacked him. Bluestar saved his life, but she sacrificed herself to do it. But I'm the words of Fireheart, she was more alive in death than in life. StarClan hasn't abandoned the Warrior Cats after all.
In The Darkest Hour, the newly named Firestar must face the toughest challenge yet. A new prophecy looms over the forest... Four Will Become Two, Lion And Tiger Wil Meet In Battle, And Blood Will Rule The Forest. Tigerstar has brought a strange cat into the forest: Scourge, the leader of the newest Clan... BloodClan. Tigerstar tries to get the Clans to join together and become one, TigerClan, under his rule. The other Clans form LionClan to combat TigerClan, but TigerClan crumbles when Scourge himself kills Tigerstar. Then, one of the most epic battles in the Warrior Cats takes place: the BloodClan Battle. With the help of Blackstar, Leopardstar, Tallstar, Whitestorm, Ravenpaw, Sandstorm and Graystripe, Firestar defeats Scourge and BloodClan. The Clans live in peace... Until the New Prophecy. But that's another story.
The reason why I love the Warrior Cats is because of the adventure, love, battle, death, forbidden romance, and friendship that it encompasses. I love how the cats have personalities like people, but they still behave like cats. If you like adventure, secrets, mystey, romance, friendship, and cute, fluffy cats that are also fierce warriors, these are the books for you!

my 3rd grader got me interested but now I'm hooked
the narrator did a great job doing the different voices of the cats. this is a series of books for kids ranging from around 8 to 12 maybe. I wanted to know what my eight year old was so enamored with so I started listening to it. and as an adult it's fairly easy to see the direction the stories are taking but still very fun to listen to in a great way to bond with your child.

Much Better Than I Anticipated--Loved It!!
It was a daily deal, I liked the description, so I took a chance on it. Fantasy is not a favorite genre for me, and I couldn't imagine I would love it as much as I did. I really enjoyed the cat's voices, even the one with the lisp. Why not? How many cats' voices could one come up with and besides, it was kind of cute.
I found this book so easy to listen to, and I always looked forward to resuming listening. I really enjoyed the story-line and the "cat-speak terminology" (such as kitty-pet). Plus, I found the different cats' personalities intriguing and also very fitting, especially so if you have or have had cats in your life.
I am not much a fan of following a series, but I am surely going to get the next book in this series, as I am just not ready to say goodbye to this feline crew!

Amazing!
Perfect narration. Wish Graystripe didn't have a lisp, but oh well. Can't wait to start the next one.
