Publisher's Summary

Why me? As a fatherless child, your interpretation of society is a little different. You constantly feel incomplete when you see fathers on television, in the grocery store, and on social media. And no matter how much you try to voice your feelings, you steadily are sucked into life's woes. Perfection is the perfect way for you to mentally escape. Ultimately, you never deal with the trials of your childhood, leaving you to grow into a person that lacks confidence in your emotional voice.

Join Candice as she takes you on her journey of coming face-to-face with being a fatherless daughter, to living an amazing life filled with healing and wholeness. Candice's life-changing path will help you come to terms with who you truly are. Full of raw feelings, interesting twists, and a desperate plea for peace, Invisible Dad is the tool you need to transform your life into the best "you" you can be. Not what I was expecting at all

This book title popped up when I was searching for tools and tips on how to heal the fatherless daughter wound. This book DOES NOT offer tools or tips on how to heal the wound, other than one main theme throughout the entire book which is God. The author provides her personal story and journey, highlighting her hardships and how she tried desperately to keep them hidden and appear perfect to the outside world. Credit to the author for sharing her vulnerable story and Im sure some will resonate and possibly feel comfort knowing they dont need to hide it and can feel safe having their feelings.
HOWEVER, one thing you should know is this book is very very religious! Which is odd since the book summary did not give off that impression to me at all. The tool she shares that helped her heal is GOD- and thats it, its all God and Jesus the whole time. So, if youre looking for psychological or therapuetical suggestions, beyond surrendering yourself to God, save your time because there arent any of those tools in this book.
