Story
yung pueblo’s path to deep healing began only after years of drug abuse had taken a toll on his mind and body. Searching for a way forward, he found that by honestly examining and addressing the anxieties and fears that he had been running away from, he no longer felt like a stranger inside of his heart and mind. And once he dedicated himself to meditation and trusting his intuition, he started to finally feel mentally lighter, with more love emerging from within. This was not an easy journey, and it's one that he is still on, but it showed him that real healing is possible.

Story
A gentle reminder for the days you feel light in this world, and for the days in which the sun rises a little slower. A gentle reminder for when your heart is full of hope and for when you are learning how to heal it. A gentle reminder for when you finally begin to trust in the goodness and for when you need the kind of words that hug your broken pieces back together. A gentle reminder for when growth hangs heavy in the air, for when you need to tuck your strength into your bones just to make it to tomorrow.

Story
Tsultrim Allione brings an 11th-century Tibetan woman's practice to the West for the first time with Feeding Your Demons, an accessible and effective approach for dealing with negative emotions, fears, illness, and self-defeating patterns. Allione - one of only a few female Buddhist leaders in this country and comparable in American religious life to Pema Chodron - bridges this ancient Eastern practice with today's Western psyche. She explains that if we fight our demons, they only grow stronger. But if we feed them, nurture them, we can free ourselves from the battle.

Some of us even seek out pain and humiliation in sexual role-play. Where do these seemingly perverse appetites come from? Drawing on groundbreaking findings from psychology and brain science, The Sweet Spot shows how the right kind of suffering sets the stage for enhanced pleasure.

Short & Sweet
There wasn't a lot of substance to be found here. I found it difficult to pay attention to the authors monotone voice and writing. I did find some insight and enjoyed the stories within the book though and don't think my hour of listening to this book was wasted.

Inward, Shallow
The author suggests a path to virtue and boundless freedom in pure consciousness apart from the ego, but the author is simultaneously preoccupied with justifying, defending and healing that ego. Other contradictions occur between the familiar self-help symbols and the author’s personal understanding of them.
The book may be a kind friend for someone dealing with heartbreak. But it could also be an unfortunate flatterer that causes one to solidify and identify with their problems and opinions, in the guise of transcending them.

This is a good book for motivation and encouragement. Best of all, it's written by a male. Most poets are female so it's nice to hear a good male perspective.

"Observe, accept, release, transform "
You’ve observed yourself continuously.
Accept yourself, even the bad stuff.
Let it all go, so you can breathe and walk without carrying that burden.
Then love yourself, and transform yourself into the best possible version of you!
There is a great global-societal twist at the end...
Heal yourself, support the healing of those around you, and in doing so we effectively change the world.
This book WILL put you back on track, and quickly!!

Pandering nonacademic nonsense
This is mostly nonsense! Though I can agree with the sentiment, very little is actually insightful. This is mostly retreaded philosophy you can find in a high school existentialism class. Though it has a few moments, it often has “food for thought” quotes like, “we can travel the universe with self love”. Additionally, the use of her/ she, instead of they/ them, during the “nice guy” “r.h.sin” creepy poetry sesh shows the audience that this book is meant to pander to. Please ladies, there are much better books with better intentions out there! If some of the pseudoscience and psychological mumbling were backed up by a list of sources of any kind or if the author has a degree in something or conducted a study(which is unclear) I could at least buy into some of it, but that is not the case. The performance by the author was good but that’s all I could glean from this book. Not worth your money or time...
