Publisher's Summary

Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?”

In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe. Taken all together, he shows atheism not merely to be implausible and intellectually sloppy, but now demonstrably ridiculous. Perhaps the only unanswered question on the subject is why we couldn’t see this sooner, and how embarrassed we should be about it.

Absolutely fantastic, tremendous...

One his best books. One of the best I've ever read/listened to. Wow the content is spectacular, full of evidence and great easy to follow information that give tools to stand for the reality of God, not just from Christians, from secular scientist.

What an amazing book, changed me by listening to it and then I bought the ebook. This is a must for the Christian person who is interested in studying further. Amazing.

Excellent book debunking the common fallacies atheists believe

Metaxas provides clear, understandable and rational explanations around how common beliefs atheists have are unfounded. His methodical, evidential and 360 degree approach provides a wealth of useful information for anyone wishing to learn how to thoughtfully respond to atheists’ claims. If you are one who believes that there is no God, the Bible is just a collection of made up stories written by a bunch of men, and we are all a product of a millennia of evolution, my challenge is for you to carefully read this book with an objective and open mind.

Love this book!

This book is extremely interesting and provides irrefutable evidence against the ideology of atheism if one wishes to be honest and scientific about the topic. I love the writing style, metaphors, and jokes and the authors voice. A must read for everyone. This is the kind of information we should put in schools as well.

Great book!

To say this was well researched would be an understatement, the author left no stone unturned while backing up his thesis. Every believer who has had their faith tested should read this book, you will never question it again!

Life changing. Life affirming.

Eric Metaxas captured my attention three years ago with his Socrates in the City series and has held my attention ever since. This work is perhaps his crowning achievement. For me, it has opened many doors.

Science, Science, Science.

This scientific book with a bit of philosophy and theology mixed in for truth seekers and open-minded thinkers.

Listen once or twice but definitely pass along to others.

Exquisite Deep Dive into a Critical Topic

Eric Metaxas shows his expert command of language to expound such a critical topic. The fact that he reads this book gives it depth and conviction that is palpable. This is easily the most comprehensive and compelling survey I have read on this topic. Highly recommended!

Great arguments for apologists

Highly recommended for those who debate atheists and love to debunk the untrue that keep so many away from God.

Expected more

Many points made were silly and attacked atheists (people) rather than atheism as a whole despite the fact that no group of people can have their morals and views boiled down to their religious belief (or lack there of.) Additionally many points against atheismcould also be said for religions such as Christianity. For example, the author brings up how corrupt and evil the soviet union became after abandoning God and religion, but ignores the fact that countless christian crusades throughout history were carried out in order to spread their religious views, conquer land, and kill anyone who stood in the way of their mission. I wanted an audiobook that challenged the core concept of atheism and that tried to tackle issues with the view, but instead Im left unsatisfied.
