Publisher's Summary

The final Guardians Trilogy novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Bay of Sighs and Stars of Fortune.

As the hunt for the Star of Ice leads the six guardians to Ireland, Doyle, the immortal, must face his tragic past. Three centuries ago, he closed off his heart, yet his warrior spirit is still drawn to the wild. And there's no one more familiar with the wild than Riley - and the wolf within her....

An archaeologist, Riley is no stranger to the coast of Clare, but now she finds herself on unsure footing, targeted by the dark goddess who wants more than the stars, more than the blood of the guardians. While searching through Irish history for clues that will lead them to the final star and the mysterious Island of Glass, Riley must fight her practical nature and admit her sudden attraction to Doyle is more than just a fling. For it is his strength that will sustain her and give her the power to run towards love - and save them all....

It's okay.

Predictable story line (it's Nora Roberts afterall). I listened to the trilogy. All three were good audible books as background for completing boring tasks/chores. If you like mystical romance you will enjoy this trilogy.

I wished this series never ended

Such a great trilogy! I wish there was more to follow the characters in the next chapters of their adventures

Guardians Trilogy

Was sad to finish it. Thoroughly enjoyed the story. Was fabulously narrated. The right amount of story, suspense and romance for me!

"However weary he might be of life..."

"...After three centuries of it, he was more weary of witnessing death."

Island of Glass by Nora Roberts is an excellent confusion to a fantastical, romantic trilogy. This time we follow the narration of Riley and Doyle as they navigate their way through the final part of the mystery and their own feelings. The ending definitely does not disappoint and fans of the series will enjoy what Roberts has to offer and what narrator Saskia Maarleveld brings to life.

Not a fan.

Not what I was expecting but once I had started the trilogy I felt I needed to see it through...wish I hadn't bothered. If it were a movie it would be classified as a soft porn Avengers style fantasy romp rated 18A for the sex and PG13 for intellect.
