Publisher's Summary

Midlife is madness - magical, messy, and one freaking crisis after another.

With a new job I didn’t apply for and an extended family I didn’t know I had - midlife has become somewhat problematic. Gluing ghosts back together is easy compared to my new celestial occupation.

The Grim Reaper wants to put a ring on it. Tim wants to be a father. Candy Vargo has lost her damn mind, and Jennifer thinks we’re all sparkly vampires. I’ve been given an impossible task with catastrophic consequences for failure, but it wouldn’t be my midlife without another crisis.

What’s the saying? When in Crazytown, embrace the insanity or go insane. It’s time to lean into the madness. I’m putting down roots, pulling up my big-girl panties, and getting down to business. With one month to succeed, it’s time to grow a bigger pair of lady-balls and play in the big league.

The rules are unclear. However, when it’s a matter of midlife and death, I’m making the rules. And I will win.

Never a dull moment

There's never a dull moment with this series, especially when each book is narrated by the fantastic Jessica Almasy! No matter if it's wee-your-pants hilarious, extremely emotional, or dripping with non-stop action, she, like the author, always delivers!

Love This Series!

I have loved this series from the very start! It’s been a very, very long time since a book has made me laugh out loud!! And these books have done it numerous times! Love this author! And the books are that much better with the narrator! ❤️❤️

it's a matter of life and death book review

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I would recommend it to anyone. The only part I don't personally like and that is my personal preference is that they end the story on a cliffhanger. I realized this is because they want you to buy more books, but sometimes you don't get to reading the other books. Therefore, I like a clear ending. Once again like I said that is my personal preference. Other than that the story was amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Funny & entertaining. Ends on a cliffhanger

I truly love their mixed matched family they have made full of ghosts, angels, demons, humans and the everything in between. They are funny kind & always willing to help those who need it. My only problem is that there doesn’t seem to be a very strong story each book repeats explanations as if you haven’t read the ones before and just has small “cute” feel good stories. It’s still worth listening/ reading as it’s very funny & entertaining. Also this book ends on a cliffhanger

Oh my goodness!

Poor Dasiy and Gideon. I love them so. I hope the adventures keep going.

Robyn Peterman doesn't disappoint and Jessica Almasy is a fantastic narrator. I hope Jessica continues to read for this story.
