This book isn’t my favourite of Annabel’s but it’s not bad either. I liked the male love interest more than the main character (although I could relate to her self-loathing). Sometimes I wish these characters could go to therapy rather than muddling through their adulthoods. I actually think this would’ve been better from a dual-perspective with Adam rather than just Jane, because she grates on you.
Being nit-picky now, but some of the little moments irritated me, like how Jane said she’d never seen a rolling pin before and how she didn’t know the title of Mrs. Doubtfire. Eye roll.

I picked this book up and said "I have a good feeling this story will feel like a warm hug", and it did not disappoint. Sure, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but what romance novel is haha? It's how you're left feeling after it's all said and done that's important.
If you're looking for a great beach read, I'd highly recommend this one!
