I want to enjoy. Need a second version.
I love the knowledge and narration. The issue I have is the constant references to bible chapters to support the writing. It breaks the flow and keeps me from the becoming engaged in the reading. A version without the referrals would be appreciated.

Doesn't Transfer To Audio
This is one book I wanted to love. Unfortunately it's far too technical and tedious to make it an enjoyable listen. If anything, it's a sedative. It is so hard not to get bogged down in this and fast. I lasted one hour, and just couldn't take the narrator anymore. Unfortunately, some books just don't always make good audiobooks. Now I see many enjoyed it. That's great. I wish I was one of them. And the narrator is just hard to listen to. He makes the work sound even more like a textbook than necessary.

Very thorough
Much more detail than I expected. It is a great commentary on Paul’s letters in the New Testament. I loved it. I learned so much about Paul!

Too repetitive
Good information but way too repetitive on a few key points. Had to put it down about half way through.

not suited to audio format
While I was initially excited, listening soon became tedious due to footnotes referencing Bible chapter/verse after nearly every sentence. great for a text, but gratingly awful to listen to while driving. Also narration needs an editor; specifically mispronunciation of ALL plural possessive cases with the superfluous addition of 'eses' (ie disciples' + eses) and there are entirely too many of them to ignore. Might be worth a read, but if you want to listen, it will be a slog.

Detailed overview of entire New Testament
Detailed; complete. This is an overview of the entire New Testament, verse by verse, chapter by chapter. (I did not know this from the title.) You will learn much about Jesus, his disciples, Paul, and the early church. Tedious is the word that comes to mind. So much detail. For audio it’s a bit much to take in, even with a narrator who is trying to make it not sound so academic.
It is the whole New Testament in a huge nutshell.
