Publisher's Summary

When the cards are stacked against you, the Kings will even the odds.

Eduardo “Lucky” Morales is a fighter, from his childhood days in Cuba to his time as a Special Forces Green Beret. Scarred by the wars of his past, Lucky has learned nothing lasts forever. Guarding his heart is second nature, and getting emotionally involved is not an option. As co-owner of Four Kings Security, Lucky works hard alongside his former brothers-in-arms and fellow Kings, but he also plays hard. Flirting with sexy Texas cowboy and detective Mason Cooper is too much fun to resist, until Mason turns the tables on him.

Mason Cooper may not be a soldier, but he’s fought his share of battles as an openly gay cop and now a detective for Major Crimes. Mason has no idea when things changed between him and Lucky, but the gorgeous, fiery Cuban has turned his world upside down. When a mistake leads to his suspension from the force, Mason turns to the least likely person for help: Ward Kingston.

Determined to keep Mason at arms’ length, Lucky is surprised to find the man at Four Kings Security. The Florida nights might be getting cooler, but the heat between Lucky and Mason burns hotter with every passing moment. Working private security can be dangerous and unpredictable, but so can falling in love.

Excellent story. Excellent narration.

Terrific next chapter in the Kings series. I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment. The narrator doesn't leave you guessing who is speaking. Greg is spot on!

My favorite of the series

I can’t wait to see what happens next. I adored book 1, hated book 2, this one is very good. Perfect narration and great cliffhangers.

Breaking Mason

I enjoyed Lucky and Mason story. Lucky is a sweetheart who thinks he has everyone fooled with his playboy way and he is emotional with a short temper. Mason as walls built around walls and doesn’t let anyone in but for some reason he can’t get Lucky out of his thoughts and it’s messing with him in more ways than one. I loved the storyline it was interesting and the characters are fun and have fantastic chemistry. The narrator did a great bringing the characters to life.

FANTASTIC!!

An absolutely spectacular story that is a great addition to this wonderful series. This story focuses on Lucky and Mason and I absolutely loved watching these two finally give in to their feelings and let their relationship blossom. Their chemistry is sizzling hot and they are perfect together. Their back and forth banter is spectacular and I love how these rough and tough men can be so loving and caring with one another. The narrator did an outstanding job with this one. His character portrayals are spectacular and I love his accents, they were perfect. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

My favourite in this series!

I’ve been hanging out for Lucky and Mason’s story since the end of book 2 when the attraction between the two men was beginning to boil over. The wait was well worth it!!! The chemistry between the two absolutely sizzles as they tease each other while trying to keep their hearts protected. When they do get together it’s explosive but both men are still scared of being hurt because of their pasts. Lucky and Mason are incredible together and I laughed with them and also cried as they admitted their fears and opened up to the other. This book absolutely has all the feels! It’s full of the usual amazing characters, wit, banter, action and suspense. I adored it and can’t wait for book 4!

Greg Boudreaux has done an amazing job of narrating this series, but he has completely excelled with this book. The voices and accents he gives both men are smoking hot!! He also really portrays both the fire and tenderness these two share.

I received an arc of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review

Finally Lucky in love!

Lucky and Mason have been kidding themselves thinking they weren’t meant to be. This is a story that we have needed. And the epilogue is everything! The best part I have to say! I loved the narration by Greg Boudreaux.

4.5 Stars

Love in Spades is a dual POV romance with lots of action and hot and sexy times, great humor, some suspense, little angst, and a jaw-dropping ending. I love the epilogue, which is actually the teaser for the next book, Diamond in the Rough, which will center around King, and looks like it’s going to be really, really good.

The story is my favorite so far in the series but I loved it even more in audio. Once again Greg Tremblay (under his sexier Boudreaux brand) does a phenomenal job. Great character voices, his timing and pacing is on point, he finesses the humor, emotional, and action elements equally well, and is simply a pleasure to listen to.

This is a fun listen! Hell, the whole series has been nothing but delightful to listen to. Greg Tremblay is at the top of his game and is so smooth in his delivery it makes the time fly by while listening to this.

Take my advice, if you like action with your romance, a lot of heat, with a sprinkling of humor, and a great ending? Grab this series now.

This Series Just Keeps Getting Better

When police officer Mason gets tagged accidently during a drug test for failing to divulge prescription cough medicine, he ends up suspended from the force and in the Four Kings Security office asking for a job. King ends up pairing him with Lucky, But as the two men work together, and Mason's life ends up threatened as well, can Mason and Lucky keep from falling for each other? Or will their passionate personalities come together to form the perfect partnership!
Mason and Lucky were so much fun to listen to! The narration was a mix between Mason, a true Texas man and Lucky who grew up in Cuba. Greg Boudreaux was able to bring out both accents from Texas and Cuba to add to the story! And with that you have Charlie Cochet's truly wonderful story telling and way of creating a picture with words! These books make me miss Florida (even in August)!

Finally got me to like Lucky..

So, Lucky bugged me a bit in the first two books. I don't know why, but something about him just rubbed me the wrong way. Adding Mason into the mix finally let me actually SEE Lucky, and what I saw I liked.

I tend to avoid summaries in my reviews, so I won't give anything about the story away, but these books are very good at following a fascinating group of laid-back, complex men and the men that they can't help but love.
