Publisher's Summary

Kurt Austin and the NUMA crew risk everything to stop a cutthroat arms dealer from stealing a priceless ancient treasure in the thrilling new novel from the number-one New York Times best-selling grand master of adventure.

In 1074 B.C., vast treasures disappear from the tombs of Egyptian Pharaohs. In 1927, a daredevil American aviator vanishes on an attempted transcontinental flight. And in the present day, a fishing trawler - along with its mysterious cargo - sinks off the coast of Scotland. How are these three mysterious events connected? And, more importantly, what do they mean for Kurt Austin and his NUMA team?

As they search for answers, the NUMA squad join the agents of the British MI5 to take on a wide-reaching international conspiracy. Their common enemy is the Bloodstone Group, a conglomerate of arms dealers and thieves attempting to steal ancient relics on both sides of the Atlantic. Kurt and his team soon find themselves wrapped up in a treacherous treasure hunt as they race to find the lost Egyptian riches...before they fall into the wrong hands.

Great story for one of his last.

It's stream storyline as usual with all of Clive Cussler's books. It is sad to see that such an amazing author has died.

Fast paced and Fun.

I was an avid Clive Cussler fan, years ago and on a whim bought this book. I compare the Cussler novels to watching a good action movie. A great reality escape. Scott Brick’s read is excellent and brings the experience full circle.

Formulaic but entertaining.

I have always been a fan of Clive Cussler. I will read/listen to anything and everything put out by his estate.

Very good as always

This was a great and classic NUMA adventure story linked to history. We enjoyed it end to end on a long drive and helped make the trip.

Meh

Although the narration was good, this was not the best Kurt Austin tale. Maybe after 40+ years, I'm just losing interest in NUMA stories.

Good Facts

The Egyptian information was close to what I know. Just a few things about gods, monotheistic turn of events, etc. it’s a good story with facts thrown in. (As far as we know)!
