I liked this book as part of the series. the characters feel real and when I begin reading or listening, I don't want to stop until the book is done.

I will start with the negative, after the month we just spent with Jade at least. This story seemed very rushed. That was kind of disappointing considering who Asher is in the Dare family storyline.
The positive things are that the characters are amazingly deep and I hope there is a second book about these two. I loved the dynamics between family members in this book. You see more of the family ties as opposed to them talking to friends etc. I hope to see some characters from the unique Dare extended family in a future book.
