Publisher's Summary

Justice North is the face of New Species. Seeing him up close makes Jessie’s heart race. He’s the ultimate alpha male - big, muscular, exotically beautiful… and dangerous. Of course he’s off limits. But then the sexy man purrs and all bets are off. Jessie Dupree is a mouthy, fiery human female who brings out the animal in Justice. She wants to show him how to relax, and he’s all for anything she wants to do, but Justice has sworn to protect his people and to take a Species mate.

He’s torn between the woman he wants and the oath he’s taken. Jessie knows a relationship between them probably won’t end well; heartbreak is inevitable. But that won’t stop her from freeing the wildness inside Justice and spending every moment she can steal wrapped around his hot body, making him roar with passion.

I loved it. Very touching and I was upset at times, but understood their turmoil.
The narrator's performance was captivating and touched my heart. I remembered when I fell in love. It was heart wrenching. ❤❤❤❤!

5 Justice Stars

Continuing this series I forget how much I love it. Justice is a character who I never really put much thought into if I am being honest. So when this was book 4 I was like Meh but it’s so good.

You don’t think his job would be as hard as it is, he never shows how much work it is to his people. But Jessie when she comes into his life she sees what others don’t see. She sees that he can’t be himself. He has to be the face of New Species.

Justice doesn't take time for himself; he works almost 24/7 because the cause is so important. It’s for his people but there has to be balance and Jessie kid of knocks him on his butt. She stirs up emotions in him and he fears for her the more his feelings grow for her.

She is fierce and protective, and so is Justice they just click.
Fabulous audio can’t wait to continue the series.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Justice ~ Favorite Character and Story!

Justice was, is, and will always be my favorite character in this series, and I absolutely loved his story! It was a refreshing plot change from having a lead female character who always needed to be saved to a Jessie, a tough kickass female who was a perfect fit for Justice. (Dang, is it wrong to be jealous of a character in a story?)

Justice is the face of New Species, he looks out for his people, he's caring and can be dominate. I loved the scene at the party, when Jessie is trying to leave because she is tired of hiding their relationship from everyone. Justice, in a show of dominance, calls out to her over the music and crowd and demands she come and stand right in front of him. Jessie does not want to make a bigger scene timidly walks up to Justice and stands right in the spot he is pointing at. Then while she is standing there and everyone watching, he announces to everyone she is his mate. :-) Did I say he was my favorite character?

This series is in my top 5 favorite PNR's..............*sigh*

Aaaaahhhhhhh Justice, YES!!

I've wanted to hear Justice's story since I began this series and I was not disappointed one bit!!!! This sexy story was further enhanced by his romantic interest--Jessie--I LOVED her! I've gushed about all the preceding stories, and my adoration of this series continues. Justice's story is less of a "nailbiter" than the other one's so it was a nice change. It still has action, but, it focused more on him coming to terms with his public persona versus being a man in love. I adored every moment, definitely a credit worthy series.

Ending better than the beginning...

This book started so boring... I can't believe I kept at it. I don't think the book really picked up until Jessie got fired from her job, and Justice moved her to Homeland (NS compound), to a home right next to him. This was somewhere around chapter 10ish...

Jessie was bad to the bone... Such a perfect female for Justice... Although... I was pretty pissed at Justice throughout the book because he kept Jessie a secret from everyone. Once Jessie realized why she had to be kept a secret...then she kicked some NS butt near the end... it closed out the this couple story nicely.

A lot of great moments all throughout the story, but not a constant listen like Book 1 or 3. It seems like every other book is the greatness pattern with these books.

Narration was spot on... Chambers has narrated all the book but the first one. She maintains the same voices throughout all the books, so right away if you are following along... you recognize who's who, just by the voices... Pretty good job!

This is a great credit, good buy if you plan to invest in all the books in this series... and well worthy sale (although this series just came to Audible so it might be a while before that happens.)

They Just Keep Getting Better!

What did you love best about Justice?

His loyalty towards his people, even at cost to himself.

What did you like best about this story?

The Bar Squabbles/Fights between Justice and Jessie.

Have you listened to any of Vanessa Chambers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Vanessa Chambers does an excellent job with the character voices. Her narration has improved a great deal since the first book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Most definitely! It kept my attention, which is hard to do, lol.

Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to the next installment "Brawn". He only had a small role in this book, but he peaked my interest.

I've got your back, baby!

Loved having a military female on the force. She's loving but can kick some serious butt. And totally loved how she protected Justice....that was hot.

Very good addition to the series :D

4 stars

This was a very good story. I loved Jessie, she's really great. Justice is a pretty good guy and I was happy to see him find happiness. I'm really loving this series and can't wait to read more of it.

Jessie is smart and feisty woman. She's the daughter of a Senator and works as a liaison that helps the New Species (NS) women when they're rescued from captivity. She hasn't met Justice previously, but one night when she's at the Reservation (one of the NS compounds) they meet and feel a connection. They come together but only get a few hours together before they both get pulled away by work.

Justice is the leader of the NSO. He doesn't relish the responsibility but everyone keeps insisting the NS would be lost without him and no one else can do his job. He never gets a break and spends all his time working for his people. When he meets Jessie, he feels a strong attraction and wants her but knows that his life would cause too many issue for them to be together. Regardless of this, he can't stop thinking about her.

Right after Jessie and Justice come together the first time, Jessie ends up hurt while retrieving a rescued NS female. Her father (the Senator and also the person who gave her the job) fired her because of the danger. Justice can't stand the thought of not seeing her again and offers her a job in Homeland (the main NS compound). He also moves her in to a house right next to him and doesn't do a very good job of staying on his side of the wall between their yards. Jessie doesn't mind though since she's very attracted to Justice and decides she's willing to try for something more serious with Justice when he shows a serious interest. She agrees to keep their relationship secret at first because he sees many reasons why their relationship could cause problems.

Jessie and Justice are happy together for a short while but there's only so far their relationship can go when they can only be in one at her place. She isn't even allowed to visit his house because people might wonder why her scent is there (NS has awesome sense of smell). Jessie ends up realizing that Justice will never allow their relationship public and still holds plans for his future that can't include her. She ends the relationship with Justice but he doesn't take it well and it's very painful for both of them. This is made worse by Justice not accepting her breakup even though nothing has changed, he wont take their relationship public and she's not willing to be a dirty little secret in a relationship that has an expiration date. Eventually things come to a head when Justice is pushed in to a jealous scene and finally claims Jessie. There's some addition issues to get through when they find resistance to their relationship from an unexpected source but they get through it (partially because Jessie is a bad@ss) and get a nice HEA.

I really liked this story. I have to admit to a bit of annoyance when Justice was being an idiot about their relationship but I was so happy once he and Jessie got together. Jessie is great and I loved her. She's the perfect mate for Justice and am glad they got together. I'm looking forward to reading more of the NS stories. I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up! :D

Great New Species romance!

I really enjoyed this audiobook a lot! This story is about Jessie Dupree, the female task force member who helps rescue New Species. She meets Justice North, the leader of the NS at Tammy and Valiant’s wedding when he saves her from an upset newly freed male. They spend an evening together and it ends up in bed. Then while Justice is making a speech, Jessie gets called away on a mission. Something unexpected happens and Jessie gets fired from the task force by her father, the Senator. Taking a new job at Homeland offered by Justice she’s happy they will get to see each other again. Except Justice has an idea stuck in his mind that he will only take another NS for a mate and this causes them a lot of problems. Narration was excellent.

ACTION, PASSION, DRAMA & SO MUCH MORE

It's all been said before so all I can add is my advice - if you haven't already started this brilliant, fantastic, awesome series, and you like a hot hot hot PNR listen, then start at book 1 and let the well-written, world-building story-lines draw you in, captivate you and immerse you in the lives, loves and dramas encountered in the world of the New Species.

Worth a credit? This is THE best one yet and it's a woooo hoooo as I happily move on to book 5 knowing that another night's sleep will be denied me until the book finally ends. So, it's a When Harry met Sally YES YES YES to the credit.

SERVING JUSTICE IN ALL WAYS, OH MY!!

Any additional comments?

This is the bes book in the series so far. I loved Justice's control and authority. But I loved him even more when he was with Jessie. Their story was more drawn out. Jessie knowing he's overworked and needs a break and Justice's conflict when it came to his commitment to is people and his love and fear for Jessie. Their bedroom scenes were HOT!!!
