celebrities: they're nothing like us!
Kathy Griffin is my gem's Joan Rivers. Her quick wit and hilarious delivery is beyond what most comedians can deliver. She is a pro. She is an institution. I will always root for her and support her career.

Such a intimate and hilarious insight!
This is probably why audiobooks where made so that Kathy Griffin can record her books and make some award winning bestsellers into hours of awesome audio standby which show how genuine and hilarious she actually is. Surprising I would say that only a small percentage of the book are negative, most of it are funny anecdotes and even some touching moments of Kathy meeting get idols as she is the biggest fan of all.

Kathy hit it out of the park!
What a fantastically, mesmerizing, hysterical, intelligent book this was!
I've always been a fan of Kathy Griffin's, now
in the words of (another icon) Howard Stern when referring to his most loyal fans, I'm a "SUPER FAN!
HEY NOW!"
Keep your unabridged scrutiny of the people who you have daily brushes of "fame" with coming with that unrelentingly insight and fearlessness!!!
"WOW!" This is definitely Grammy worthy!!!:)

Sincere, FUN, Interesting - LOVED IT!
I felt like Kathy was sitting next to me in the car telling me stories about the people she's met. She comes across relatable and fun - the person you wish was your best friend. I will read this again it was so fun! You also learn a lot about and learn to love many of the people she mentions! If you need a fun, feel good book - this is a good choice!

Her voice makes it 100% better
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love KG. I just got this book and am to the D's in the celeb list. It is fabulous to listen to--the writing is great, and I just love her voice. Honestly, I don't think I'd like it nearly as much in book form. I think that in places she's much more diplomatic than she would be in real life. But, overall, one gets the message about the celebs who are just too impressed with themselves, and the others who are pretty down-to-earth, considering how famous they are.
Who was your favorite character and why?
She is.
Which character – as performed by Kathy Griffin – was your favorite?
She is.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Kathy is something else !!
Kathy speaks so quickly that it is sometimes hard to follow her and her train of thought. Most of what she had to say is kind of boring. I am not recommending this book, especially if you are easily bored.

Heard It Before
Love her but kinda disappointed as a lot of the run-ins have been talked about before. If you're a true fan of her stand up and have seen all of her specials and follow her closely, you might be disappointed in this.

it's everything you think it will be
This is my first Kathy book. Her stand up of course can't possibly be topped in book form, but this is a good read (listen). Tons of interesting, funny, entertaining stories about just about everyone.
The best part is that Kathy is the narrator on the audio book!

Don't waste your money.
Kathy is once again struggling to be funny. Her stories lack real substance. Don't waste your time or audible credit/money.

Dissapointed. Author searching for storyline.
Super disappointed with this second book by KG. I was a HUGE fan of her first book. The stories in this book are forced and dry. Plus she comes clean about embellishing certain facts in past interviews for the sake of entertainment. She comes off as an annoying bully that people try to avoid!

Always a great pick-me-up!
As opposed to most books which are linear, whether they be fiction or nonfiction, this one is a collection of stories which can be read individually or collectively, but in no particular order. They are listed alphabetically, which makes it easier to find one when you’re like « Oh, I wanna read that Miley Cyrus story again! » (or any other celebrity that tickles *your* fancy).
Kathy Griffin has a unique way of telling her own stories, so the audio books really gives it that extra oomph. Plus, she actually reacts to what she’s reading, so it feels very much alive (as opposed to, sorry, many audio books which feel like they’re being read by a well programmed robot).
