A Scottish story read by a Scot

If you're going to listen to the RLS classic Kidnapped, then hear it read by a Scot who clearly knows and loves the country and the people he's reading about. David Rintoul's well modulated and slightly accented voice does the story proud. Adventure at every turn. Buckle on your claymore laddie, step out into the windswept heather and let David Rintoul narrate this classic tale of gentlemen at arms and rogues a-scheming. #Audible1

great story

I thoroughly enjoyed the tale and loved the way it was presented. The characters seemed to come to life and the language was fascinating.

Kidnapped

I loved this book! I love R.L Stevenson's books. He writes fantastic adventures. Treasure Island was such a gem that I craved more of his high adventure, swashbuckling tales. The story is excellent. The characters are so well done. You feel the friendship between David and Alen by the end. Also the narration of he book and the narrator himself is awesome. He brings the story alive in setting that I wasn't used to (Scottish Highlands) and does the voices so well.

Fraud

I did NOT order this and will not pay for it. I am very disappointed in Amazon. They have provided no way to reverse this order or to contact them about it. Some how they managed to slipped it to me without my approval. Shame on you. In the future I will not longer order off of the dailey promotional book list. I ordered the free copy of this book (which I got) and was billed $8.01 for the audio version as well. Paul T
