Lust, Vengeance and Non-stop Action.
Mike Harmon's commando-quality retainers agree: their leader, code-named Ghost, is a peculiar one. An ex-Navy-SEAL, there is no stronghold he cannot penetrate, no target he can't take out. But Ghost is also a man struggling to keep the animal inside at bay and his twisted sexual desires satisfied with a rock-hard integrity and incredible force of will. Now Harmon and his militia have been hired to rescue the daughter of a powerful political mover in America, kidnapped into the Eastern Europe sex trade.

Story
Michael Harmon has been there and done that. Rescued co-eds, killed major terrorists, stopped nuclear assaults. Now he'd just like to kick back and relax with his harem of lovelies. Unfortunately, the world keeps turning. Mike and the Keldara are back tracking down terrorists, rogue Russian bio-scientists and the doomsday weapon to end all doomsday weapons. It's going to take some very tough, hard and nasty people to stop the end of the world. Fortunately, there's Mike Harmon.

Story
After saving America from Middle Eastern terrorists, even Mike Harmon and the Keldara could use a vacation. Of course, the Kildar's idea of a vacation includes taking down pirates in the Singapore Straits. But when he finds computer chips designed to run nuclear reactors in the pirate booty, Harmon has a new mission thrust upon him - discover how bottom-feeding thieves got their hands on top-secret technology. The chips are headed for newly democratic Myanmar, a country vital to American interests in the region. Now Harmon finds himself in a desperate race to learn who stole the chips and why.

Story
In the future there is no want, no war, no disease nor ill-timed death. The world is a paradise - and then, in a moment, it ends. The council that controls the Net falls out and goes to war. Everywhere people who have never known a moment of want or pain are left wondering how to survive. But scattered across the face of the earth are communities which have returned to the natural life of soil and small farm. In the village of Raven’s Mill, Edmund Talbot, master smith and unassuming historian, finds that all the problems of the world are falling in his lap.

Story was good and sidestory a bit disturbing
Would you listen to Kildar again? Why?
No, once was enough
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, the plot was good and quick paced.
What does Jeremy Arthur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The Narration was top notch. Really good when you can easily tell one character from another and the accents were pretty good as well!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The story was good. The pace was good. What John Ringo's fascination with grown men screwing children was as usual the low part of the book for me. He can definitely write but I would have this guy on my neighborhood watch list for sure. How he thinks that adds to the books I have no idea. It's not enough that his character has issues with women of a more consenting age but he has to take it that one step further every time. If the base story and action were not so good I would have dumped this writer by now. In my opinion the writer seems like a scumbag that just so happens can write.

much less graphic sex scenes in this one
The first book had a graphic sex and rape scene in it and although the main character does some pretty bad things and thinks bad things also its not that bad, this one has a little scene about S&M and some young girls all over 18 maybe over 21 not sure, but again like the first book just skip this because the story is great.
Mike cant seem to get a brake here and every time he gets into the shit as it were he comes out pretty badly hurt but has lots of money to show for it, this time he decided to take a trip into the mountains and he ends up buying the whole place and spending some money to outfit a militia for his protection.
This whole series goes pretty well other than the graphic sex and rape scenes but those are almost gone by the 3rd book, although they are replaced with normal sex scenes not to much graphic much different though.
Again if you just skip over the graphic sex/rape scenes you should really like this whole series

So much fun to listen too!
Would you listen to Kildar again? Why?
This listen was my third, and I've read the book a few times. The narrator is very good, and the story - once disbelief is firmly suspended - is a rush. Its very different in style from Ghost as Mike builds his future and develops relationships with his new team.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I don't think it could have been. The first time I heard about John Ringo was in a an online review titled, "Oh No, John Ringo". I don't take the character's point of view, sexual proclivities, or general lack of political correctness seriously. Kind of like watching an Expendables movie - sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
What does Jeremy Arthur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
There are a lot of characters and he does a great job with the pacing and different voices.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed, probably at very inappropriate times.
Any additional comments?
I've read all 6 books in the series and plan to get all of them on Audible.

Best Ringo Book
Would you listen to Kildar again? Why?
Yes- in fact I have. This is by far my favorite John Ringo book. Has all of his best literary tricks without being either being mildly absurd or over the top which can happen to him at times. Not that I am complaining I enjoy all his books. Occasionally I just say... Really?... this one just sounds crazy- super soldier just happens to buy a castle in obscure country who's tenant farmers are a long lost tribe of soldiers looking for a leader?... Really?... but still awesome.
