Keep your enemies close...

Victor is the killer who always delivers...for the right price. And Heloise Salvatierra, patron of Guatemala's largest cartel, is ready and willing to pay him just that to eliminate the competition: her sister. Heloise has been battling Maria for control of the cartel in an endless and bloody war. Now, Victor decides who survives. An easy job if it weren't for the sudden target on his back.

...and their enemies closer.

Victor's not the only one on the hunt. Someone else has Maria in the cross hairs and will do anything to get the kill. In the middle of cartel territory with enemies closing in from all sides, Victor must decide where to put the bullet before one is placed in his head....

Great Listen from start to finish

Victor faces his toughest challenge yet when hired by A Cartel boss to kill a rival boss and end a war that has been stalemated, the catch? The other boss is little sister to Victors new boss! I couldn’t put it down, when things seem like there’s no way out Rob Shapiro creates a convincing action sequence that plays like a movie as you listen to great feats by the greatest assassin of them all...

CAPTIVATING!! Victor is amazing in this one!

Wow, I can't believe I completely missed this book being released! I am a huge fan of the Victor books. Hey Audible, you should offer automatic notifications of preferred authors.
Victor is once again working as a lone assassin and no longer for an alphabet agency. The publisher's summary gives enough information about the quandary Victor has gotten himself into working between two feuding sisters. He's double crossed and redouble crossed. His plans are amazing as the listener you get to hear his inner thoughts. Sometimes the best laid plans actually don't fall apart!
In this book Victor plays with normalcy and marvels at the details of relationships. It makes him human.
This book is fast paced and I just can't say enough. This series is getting better and better.
Rob Shapiro's narration couldn't get any better.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS.

WOW!

KILL FOR ME is Book 8 in the Victor the Assassin series by British author Tom Hirshelwood using his pen name Tom Wood. This is the best novel yet in this great action thriller series; it is really perfect! Tom Wood deserves a lot more attention. His novels are as good as the best authors of the modern action thriller genre including Ben Coes, Brad Thor, Brad Taylor, Mark Greaney, and Lee Child. Victor the Assassin is unique because there are no other action thriller protagonists who are similar to him. The setting for Kill for Me is Guatemala where two well protected sisters who head rival drug gangs are seeking to kill each other. One hires Victor to kill her sister. Rob Shapiro narrates superbly.

I usually stay up to date with releases of novels by my favorite authors, but I missed this one until 3.5 weeks after it was released. Thanks to Audible listener Shelley whose review notified of the release of Kill for Me.

God this series is amazing

From the guy who’s read or listened to every thriller ever in the same vein - Mitch, Scot, Dewey, Colt, Court and onto obscure works. No one but Wood/Shapiro get into the mind, the minuscule thoughts of a killer, and how he ends lives expertly. The science, tech, and emotional analysis is incredible. Read them all. Right bloody now.

Another Great Victor Book

I am very happy with this book. It has all the good things about Victor and more!!! In this book Victor seems more personable and I am very glad to see him in this light. Don't get me wrong he is still a stone cold killer but more! Tom you did it again, this book is now my favorite in the Victor series!

Victor strikes again!

Victor ups the body count in Kill for Me, another excellent installment in my favorite assassin series. I can't say this was my favorite of the lot, but it's nevertheless firing on all cylinders as Victor takes on a job through his agent, Phoenix. Hired to kill the female head of a drug cartel by her own conniving sister, Victor finds himself betrayed and double-crossed but manages it all with his usual cold intelligence and aplomb. He briefly partners with another assassin, one hired to kill him, who is a deliciously vile character. I think Mr. Wood must have had fun making Constantine just as awful as he possibly could, and Rob Shapiro, as always, does a wonderful job bringing his character to life. Victor seems a little more casual about gettin' it on with women in this book, which seems slightly contrary to his usual hyper-careful self, but a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do. Now I suppose it'll be a long wait until the next book... Sigh!

Victor Never Disappoints

I love this series! This latest entry just ups the ante. I knit lap blankets for Wounded Warriors while listening to audible books, and this is one of the few books I have to be careful listening to or I end up dropping stitches! It's also one of the few series where I've relistened to the books in the series while waiting for the next one. Rob Shapiro is the perfect narrator for this series. I don't know where Tom Wood gets his ideas or knowledge, but I love this series especially the audio version!

The best yet...

Seriously this is the best Victor story to date. The others are A+, but the character and story have evolved into a fantastic tale. Well done Mr. Wood.

Best book I’ve ever read on audible

Victor’s character is absolute made for Ari’s vocal inflection, tone, and tambre.

I’ve over two hundred books in my audible library, this was the most riveting and best performance of all of them. And George Guidall reading Daniel Silva’s prose of Gabriel Allon’s emotionally destitute first wife is extremely hard to exceed.

Highly recommend.
