Story
Erin McAvoy is living her best life. A lover of tacos, witty T-shirts, and Pinterest, Erin is always ready to tell you about her favorite thing - the animals she tends to at one of the nation's best zoos. But then there's that other thing she doesn't like to talk about: how a supposedly-for-fun DNA test revealed that Erin has a strong genetic predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer. She'd like to conveniently ignore that elephant in the room, except for the fact that unless she does something soon, Erin will miss out on her only chance to have a baby.

While searching for an uncomplicated life, Sadie finds her hands full not only with a home renovation project but with defending herself against suspicion of murder. There's a fine line between predicting someone's death and causing it. Has Sadie finally crossed that line?
Enter contractor Max Schultz, who is not only good at working on houses, but he's good at working on Sadie too. Much to Max's dismay, as he's trying to win Sadie's heart, he finds Sadie's first love, Henry Fitzsimmons, is back in the picture, snooping around.
Sadie doesn't know which way to turn or who to trust, including herself. Can Sadie clear her name and open her heart all at the same time?

Chick Lit, Mystery & Suspense!
Any additional comments?
I really like Kathyrn Biel's writing. She keeps me engaged throughout the book. Always wondering what will happen next. This book was no exception. The characters are believable and sympathetic. The story is compelling and easy to follow. There's a little of everything in this one. Chick Lit, Mystery, Suspense and a bit of Supernatural stuff. Really fun! I listened to this in a couple of days because I just had to know the ending! It was worth it! The only negative with this audiobook is the narrator's delivery. It was kind of mechanical. She has a pleasant enough voice but she just didn't add to my enjoyment of the book.

Just not good
This book was hard to finish. The narrator was horrible and the story was just as bad. it was equal to watching a movie where the actors reeeaaallllyyyy over act. The voices were annoying and the MC whined all the time and was an idiot. I dont normally write bad reviews for anything but this book was bad.

Terrible narration!!
I had to stop listening to this book because the narration was so bad. It sounded like the worst acting you have ever heard. The narrator speaks to loud and that mixed with her voice gave me a headache. I don't know if the story would have improved as it was a bit slow but I couldn't stand the book anymore and had to stop listening.

couldn't finish. narration was terrible.
What did you like best about Killing Me Softly? What did you like least?
I think the story would have good if I could get past the narration. Could not finish so I can't review the actual story
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dawnya Clarine?
anyone, maybe Angela Dawe, Therese Plummer or Christina Traister. These are some of my favorites. Their male voices said like males. Their reading is great.

This is a pretty good book, but kinda dragged along. I would have liked it better if the pace had picked up.

Another great one by Kathryn Biel
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book! The story is fun and romantic with a mysterious twist. Kathryn's characters are always so recognizable and easy to identify with. This story kept me on my toes the whole way through. I kept changing my mind about who the main character would end up with. This is a truly easy read/listen, I can't wait for the next one!
