very pleased with this new series. very likeable characters. love story is not rushed or feels like too much. I enjoyed the fantastical world building and the last and love and frenzy of it all is breathtaking.
cannot wait to start the next book in the series.

The story was interesting, certainly the attraction is there between the characters. The female lead just seems very conflicted all the time, trapped in her own thoughts. She is not much one for action. I would have preferred it if she took control more often, not just on the rare occasions when she was forced to.

The performance just sounds “tired”, making the character sound exhausted all the time. Which maybe she is?

I am just not inspired to look for a sequel in this series.

Everything was great until the bonus chapter in Adrian's view. The voice was terrible, revolting. I hated it.

Fun spicy story

A good love story & light/easy listen “palate cleanser” between more emotional books. FMC carries on her closed mindedness too long for my liking but I like her strength overall. One review said it is straight erotica and I disagree. It’s a spicy book but not as much as lots of others in this genre. I found Phantasma more spicy for example. Narration- this is not a duet & only 1 chapter (bonus pov) in the male narrator voice - he doesn’t sound like the mmc should (should sound less villainy & was supposed to have a bit of an accent)…It’s Eris from acotar’s voice. & though I love Lilly Drake in Plated Prisoner & as Isolde, I didn’t care for her doing the other voices, sometimes hard to distinguish who was speaking.

Loved the storyline and the spiciness in this book. Loved Lily as the narrator. Didn't love the guy who did the bonus chapter as Adrian, in fact it was terrible, could not imagine Adrian sounding like that.
