Publisher's Summary

In this audio-first rom com by #1 New York Times bestselling author Lauren Blakely, a scorching one-night stand with a stranger turns into a deliciously forbidden romance...

My first evening in London feels like kismet when I bump into a charming, book-loving Englishman, and by the end of the night, he’s making me see stars. I’m floating when we make plans to meet again.

Then fate decides to pull a fast one on me.

Turns out, my smoldering new lover is my red-hot competition, and we’re vying for the same promotion at the elite auction house I crossed an ocean for.

If that’s not enough, the hottie and I are forced to work together on a brand new collection. Every. Single. Tempting. Day.

What's an American woman in London to do?

Staying far, far away would be the safe choice, especially when I learn about his past and how it mirrors mine. But I don’t always play it safe with my heart…

Warm and Witty

Light hearted and truly enjoyable. Offered some actual laugh out loud moments as well. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something that's well narrated and easy to fall in love with the sweet characters.

A truly intriguing story

This story really gives meaning to the word kismet. The voices were great and the story just brings you in so deep that you can't stop til you're done.

Awkward british charm - my fave!

Am sure I was less than 10 minutes into this before I had to stop and text my friend to grab this title for herself.

As much as I enjoyed this book, and I absolutely did - more so than any other Lauren Blakely I’ve tried - for me, the best thing about this book was discovering the narrator Shane East. I’ve now happily found many other titles he voiced, including a bunch of freebies.

Nice Story

I enjoyed the storyline however I was disappointed that it was not in dialogue style. I found it off putting that both voice actors spoke the male and female voices. I found it a bit difficult to follow at times.

A great surprise

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book because I have read so many of this type of storyline.. Both characters motivated by the same thing, which leads them to fight and then leads them to romance and hot sex.
This story pleasantly surprised me I really enjoyed the way Lauren Blakely developed the characters storyline to show the heart of people and not their conflict continually, plus the added spicieness for good flavour.

I enjoyed the Narration when the characters were reading their own parts. When they had to read the voice of the other character it was often a bit awkward especially during intimate scenes

YES! FINALLY A NERDY TYPE WINS!

Quiet, introverted, intelligent good looking guy, loves to read, go to Art galleries and museums... does not seek love!!!
Oh what could right with this character!
This was a nice light listening pleasure of a well written story of improbable, nerdy type, love by Lauren Blakely.
The narrators Shane East & Julian Whelan
were perfect for their characters.
Thank you to the Audible crew for this production!!

So disappointed this isn’t done duet style

I was so excited to see a new title from Lauren Blakely and then so disappointed it’s not done duet style. I cannot listen to these awesome male readers do flirty banter and love scenes in falsetto/trying to sound like the female narrator- it really takes away from the story - and you’ve already got both actors there doing their chapters, it can’t be that big of a deal to have them read their own parts? I couldn’t get past where they meet, totally turned off. I’m sure the story is fun. I might see about actually reading it…

Great Narration makes Book even better

I love Shane East's voice. He can make even a best selling book even better. I wasn't sure I was going to like this book in the beginning, but knowing who the narrator was, I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. This was more than just a predictable romance. The story behind it and the way the characters interacted with each other takes the book to the next level. I love the friends and co-workers personalities

Cute & easy listen

A good casual listen for those looking for something short and carefree. I wasn't sure about Heath's voice but it grew on me by the end of it.
