Publisher's Summary
Luke Anderson had exactly two things on his mind: Getting the f--k out of Alhouette, Louisiana, and opening his own bike shop. But when he meets sweet little Tawny Mitchell at a bonfire by the lake, things get so hot, he's almost tempted to stay in town a while longer.
Almost.
Tawny Mitchell has her life perfectly planned now that she's graduated college. Become a school nurse, form some roots in a small town and, eventually, find a kind, hard-working man to start a family with. The type of loving, close-knit family she never had growing up. But when her best friend convinces her to go to a party and let her hair down, just this once, she never dreams that the consequences of that steamy summer night will change everything....

Feel good story
Graduating college with her nursing degree, Tawny is on her way to her dream life. Luke is one race away from reaching his dream of opening his bike shop. Little do these two know their chance meeting will change their lives forever. An unexpected pregnancy makes the two reevaluate their life dreams and what their future will be. The question is will the two have the same ideas? With Luke, he has some definite ideas of what should happen. Being a child from the foster care system, but lucky enough to be adopted by wonderful parents, Luke knows what he wants when he finds out about the baby. Tawny is sure she can make it in her own, despite her love for Luke. Christine Bell has written a well balanced new adult story with lots of feels. Its is easy to become invested with this couple, and you can't help but root for that happy ending. The supporting characters are key, especially Luke's mom. Her advice and warm heart make you feel right at home and comfortable with her influence throughout the story. I also loved the support that Suzette and Rex gave both Luke and Tawny. They gave some depth and humor through the book.
My first listen to Sophie Daniels, I found her voice to be perfectly suited for this genre. New adult is particular and needs a youthful voice but not teenage sounding. I found Daniels to have an age appropriate voice with distinctive sounding genders. She has good pacing and gave an enjoyable performance.

Knocked Up
This was my first time with this Author. This was an enjoyable listen that kept me engaged. Characters were likable, and story flowed well. There were even funny parts. This was also my first time listening to this narrator. Sophie Daniels was also enjoyable to listen to. Her portrayals of the characters was very good. You could feel the various emotions of each character.

Emotional, Steamy Romance
This story packed a lot of emotion in a quick listen. Both Tawny and Luke had dreams for their future. But one hot, passionate night changed all of their careful plans. Tawny is a bit uptight with all her planning and Luke is more practical and easy going. They make a perfect pair, balancing each other out on their new journey. They have fiery chemistry but is it enough to keep them together with the challenges they face? This is a sweet, funny and emotional love story. I especially enjoyed the ending. It really gave me all the feels.
This is my first time listening to Sophie Daniels. She did a wonderful job bringing this story to life. She had me laughing, crying, and totally lost in this world.
I really enjoyed this emotional, sweet and sexy romance.

When the bad boy isn't really bad
Luke is a bad boy, or so everyone thinks, and he can't wait to move out of his small hometown to open his own garage. Tawny is a good girl, working her way through school and looking forward to starting a job as a school nurse. Then Luke and Tawny meet at a party by the lake and things get a bit out of hand. Luke tried to catch up with the intriguing young woman for several weeks but she never responded to his calls/texts. Just when he's ready to move on, he runs into her at the diner and *gasp* discovers that she's pregnant. Luke tries to do the right thing by being there for Tawny but she's so used to not having anyone around that she keeps pushing him away. Will Tawyn push too hard? Will Luke give up? This was a great story of 2 ppl who had preconceived notions about the other and had to learn to communicate. Wonderful epilogue that warmed the heart.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Awesome Story
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Just shows that the best laid plans... This story of the old saying when you have lemons, make lemonade. Tawney did just that. Her plans going astray and Luke's future being sidetracked, this story revealed what true love can do. The author did a great job with the story and the characters. The narrator was excellent. Really enjoyed this story.

It's okay
KNOCKED UP was a sweet story, but not much more. You get what the title promises - a kinda surprise pregnancy of a girl who only this once decided to live a little. It's very predictable.
I had some serious problems with Tawny. For one, how can she pursue a career as a school nurse when she cannot even care for herself in taking the morning after pill after she had unprotected sex?? Then she was sitting on her high horse, looking down on sweet and loveable Luke, who may not come from money, but did everything - and I mean everything - right when it came to her. I never even felt a spark of sympathy for her. Luke deserved so much better.
Looking past the heroine, it's a sweet story if you're looking for something light and flirty.
This was my first Sophie Daniels audio book and it was thanks to her I didn't quit halfway through the book. I'll have a look at her other works for sure.

Enjoyable Listen
Both the author and narrator were new to me, and I found myself enjoying this listen. Typically I do not listen to many new-adult books, but this one pulled me in. I thought the story was well written and the narrator was age appropriate and did a good job with the various characters. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.
