Mark's take on becoming "known" can be summed up in one word: consistency. Put your passionate ideas piblicly out into the world in a medium that works for you (blogging, video, book publishing, speaking engagements) on a regular basis. That is the key, being regular. Get feedback for improvement and monitor your growth. If there is no growth or you come to realize that deep down your heart isn't in it, evaluate whether to throw in the towel. Above all else, do not sacrifice your family or your health to become known.

Many excellent examples are contained here of the journeys embarked on by others in going from being unknown to known.

Fun, practical and great case studies

I loved this book by Mark Schaefer. It's practical, informative, very inspiring and even funny.
Mark starts out by explaining what being "Known" really means and then takes you step by step through how to achieve it while including great examples of real people who have succeeded.
This book is for anyone who has a message, passion, or goal they want to be heard and wants to learn how to "get it out there."
With Mark (the author) narrating the book it's like having a personal one on one with mark himself-excellent!
I will definitely be listening again, or maybe also buy the kindle version so that I can take tons of notes!

In my own business, I practice the 5x5. I do five things every day for five days per week to grow my business.
I can’t control what comes out, but I can control what goes in.
So many of my approaches in the 5x5 fall within the principles of Known and I really enjoyed the audiobook. It was made even more enjoyable by the author himself doing the reading.

An entertaining path of learning about becoming known.

I heard this book while driving from Montreal to Toronto, it made the trip seem like an hour. The material you will listen may make you want to stop what you are doing and start your own journey to become known right there and there, The book is compelling and the author speaks candidly about his own personal story and the stories of several today known consultants, influencers, etc. who were once struggling with different personal challenges, but through perseverance and applying some of the concepts in the book they were able to realize their dreams of defining and brining their message to their audience. Enjoy listening.
