Publisher's Summary
Three decades after The Baby-Sitters Club first rocked our world—like scoring your own phone line, in your room!—the beloved franchise is back to binge (and share) like never before!
In the most exciting news since we first learned of Kristy Thomas’s great idea to start the Baby-Sitters Club, the book series is now available only from Audible as an audio experience with special guest narrator Elle Fanning, the multi-talented actress and fan of BSC.
With endearing characters and enduring storylines filled with lessons of self-discovery, the beauty of true friendship, and the power of youth-led entrepreneurship itself, the BSC has never felt more now. So, whether you’re joining the club for the first time, or the first time in quite a while, spend time with stories that transcend the ages. Gather up the kids—not to mention those nieces, nephews, and neighbors alike—for all the twists, turns, hilarity, and burns of tween life in Stoneybrook, Connecticut!
It all began with a great idea ... and the inspiring original story of The Baby-Sitters Club is back! Kristy Thomas's brilliant business plan gets off to a great start with the help of Claudia Kishi (vice-president), Mary Anne Spier (secretary), and Stacey McGill (treasurer).

Elle Fanning is amazing!!!
I looooved this audiobook!! Elle Fanning has a great book, and she’s good with tone/intonations/etc. She’s a good storyteller, and listening to her reading this book feels as if Kristy was really there telling you her stories directly. The emotions are not overly exaggerated like some other audiobook I’ve heard!

Oh the memories
When I was a child, I loved the Babysitters Club books. I devoured them. I read those, along with the Super Specials, Mysteries, Little Sister book, etc. In fact, I still have all of them to this day in paperback. They were such a big part of my love of reading, I could not part with them. So now that they have come out on Audiobook, I had to check them out. As it turns out, I am not too old to enjoy them. It kind of felt like going home again.
Kristy's Great Idea is the book that started it all. Book 1. The beginning of an era for me. In this book, 12 year old Kristy and her 12 year old friends, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey start a babysitting club. They figure out positions, Kristy is the President, Claudia the Vice President, Mary Anne the Secretary, and Stacey the Treasurer.
This book was a quick listen at only 2 hours and 44 minutes. The narrator was good. She is believable as a 12 year old girl.
I am rating this as 5 stars simply because of nostalgia. I recommend these books to all children who enjoy reading about girls in a club, friendship, and babysitting.

My favorite childhood series is on Audible!
I am so happy this series is on Audible. BSC is what got me into reading at a young age. I’d save up my allowance to buy as many as these book as I could.
The first book still holds up and is a great story for girls to look up to.
I am also amazed at how many things I remembered about the characters and plot line.
My 4 out of 5 rating is that I thought Elle Fanning did speak a tad too fast. But other than that she did get Kristy’s emotional feelings right.

Thank you for The Babysitters' Club
So happy The Babysitters' Club made a comeback. It's been so long since I read these books and I love going through them again. I love the little details, especially the soda. Was it cherry? Reminds me when I used to read the paperback books.
Elle Fanning definitely captured the innocence of the kids. Her voice is sweet and soft which makes it delightful to listen to but all the characters sound the same which makes it hard to tell who's who. Other than that, it was a pleasant read :) excited to listen to the other narrators, too!
