À propos de cet audio

Lady Chatterley's Lover was the subject of one of the most infamous trials of the 20th century when Penguin was prosecuted under the Obscene Publications Act. However, with expert witnesses for the defence, including E.M. Forster, Penguin was acquitted and permitted to publish in 1960. The book became a best seller largely on account of explicit scenes of a sexual nature and use of four letter words. However, re-reading again over 40 years later, one realises that although the sex scenes are still graphic even today, the book is about much more than sex. It covers love, class, disability, family relationships, infertility, politics, and that 'bitch-goddess' success.©2003 CSA Telltapes Ltd (P)2003 CSA Telltapes Ltd Classiques Fiction Fiction de genre Fiction littéraire

Not the LCL I read at university, this is the original, and a revelation. I liked the abridged version better! Much easier to understand the motivations of characters without the sex therapy by DH.

A surprising edition

This recording isa very poor quality with whole sections missing. this however is no reflection on the authors work. I have purchased another copy from another publisher
