HBO's Emmy-winning Last Week Tonight presents the story of a Very Special boy bunny who falls in love with another boy bunny.

Meet Marlon Bundo, a lonely bunny who lives with his Grampa—the vice president of the United States. But on this Very Special Day, Marlon's life is about to change forever...

With a message of tolerance and advocacy, this charming children's book explores issues of same sex marriage and democracy. Beautifully performed by an all-star cast, featuring Jim Parsons, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jeff Garlin, Ellie Kemper, John Lithgow, Jack McBrayer, and RuPaul, this sweet and funny story is dedicated to every bunny who has ever felt different.

About the author: Marlon Bundo is a very fun bunny who recently relocated to Washington, DC, from his home in Indiana. He enjoys hopping through the garden, eating all his vegetables, and hula-hooping.

Awesome story

First off I have to say that John Oliver and his crew deserve a ton of credit for this creative idea. I fully believe in teaching my kids the value of tolerance and acceptance. The story itself is fun and engaging. Awesome performances. Also happy to support the charities. So in short this is a triple win - good story, good message, great cause and as a bonus go f yourself VP Pence and the rest of your homophobe friends. The success of this book is a testament to the fact that tolerance and acceptance is alive and well in the world.

Amazing

I love the reason it was written, but the book was surprisingly good even without that context. The narration was fantastic, the art was great, and the story impeccable.

Best two bucks I've ever spent!

I like to play this audio book along while I'm looking at the pictures in the hard copies I bought with my two boy bunnies and the hopes that they will learn that it's okay for them to get along. So far they just try to chew the pages.

#Audible1: Simple but powerful

This book made me look at my own preconceive ideas about gender, equality and the struggle of those who are born outside of our norm. We all need belongingness, what we do not need is force conformity. We should not marginalized others because they are different from us. Unfortunately, a lot of us still do. This book is simple, everyone of us has the right to choose how to live our lives. And no one has the right to imposed our own choice to others. #Audible1

Love is Forever, Stinkbugs are Temporary

Yes. That’s all that’s required.
Adorable, sweet and sassy - an amazing collection of voices and the best message.

This story is cute, but let's be honest.

Cute story, but it could've been an hour of a monotone voice saying the word "chrysanthemum" over and over and I still would've bought it just knowing it's a giant middle finger to Mike Pence. 🐰

Google John Oliver Marlon Bundo for Backstory

Thank you so much, John Oliver, for supporting such a worthy cause and charity (The Trevor Project). This was a great listen but I do agree with the other reviewers who said the print version is even better because of the pictures. We got one for our grandson and he loves it.

Lovely story of diversity

What made the experience of listening to A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo the most enjoyable?

Enjoyed the voices take on the characters. I could visualize each one being brave, fearful, or joyful.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Marlon Bundo. He saw inequality and helped everyone realize we are different, and that does not mean we need to be the same.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. This is my first audiobook.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Stinkbugs are temporary.

Any additional comments?

Thank for for helping people realize and recorgnize that although we are different, we can relate to each other on a personal level.

I wasn't prepared for that!

I had heard about this book from a friend, they told me it was an empowering and motivating short story about a disadvatged couple and their struggles to be accepted, but I wasn't expecting to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster!
the story really gives you insight into the life of Marlon Bundo, the development of the characters really draws you in.

I give this book 5 hops! would hop again!

great moral of the story

The stink bugs stink and they do not know it. They are also pretty stupid, even by bug standards. Don't vote for stink bugs... happily ever after !

Buy this book and make Mike Pence cry

This book is not about Mike Pence "because he's not very interesting." This wonderful book introduces love, acceptance of differences, and the undeserved power of stinkbugs. Each book purchased results in a donation to the Trevor Project. "Because stinkbugs are temporary but love is forever. "

Loving the actors' voice and the story of love.

I loved it. Very nice to teach children about accepting other people and love.
The actors voice gave it a familiar touch too as I watch Modern family, rupaul drag race, etc :)

The sweetest petty move

It made my little gay heart sing with glee. It is, of course, a great way to give the middle finger to a religious fanatic but it's also a really sweet story that little ones with enjoy and benefit from.
