Dr. John Warwick Montgomery taught a full-year course in jurisprudence - the philosophy of law - at the University of Bedfordshire in England. Here is the full cycle of those lectures covering the history of legal thought from ancient times to the present and the central topics in the field (legal reasoning, legal ethics, the foundation of law, etc.). The orientation is unashamedly that of biblical Christianity, taught with verve, humor, and a total abstinence of political correctness.

The content is a standard university course on the philosophy of law. Professor Montgomery’s lecture is clear and his commentary on the various philosophical positions, as well as his relating his comments to the Christian faith, are all very insightful.

Unfortunately, the course seems to have been recorded some time in the late 90s and so (1) is slightly outdated and (2) has absolutely terrible audio quality.

Overall though it was definitely worth the 35 hour listen
