In the horse industry, working students aspire to become professional riders or trainers, and willingly trade labor for hands-on education.

Ugh the reader
This might have been interesting but honestly the reader is so super bad I really can’t concentrate on what it’s saying. I’ve been listening to Audiobooks for years and this is the first time I will be returning one because of the narrator. If you’re considering this book, listen to the sample first. It doesn’t get better.

I wish I had more time to read ....
...because of narrators like this. I hate to be mean because I probably sound worse but I could barely stand to listen to this book even though the content is excellent. It took me weeks to finish because I could only take narrator in small doses. Sorry.

A bit too cerebral
I’m a tough critic.
I listened to the whole book and compared to other material on the subject that I’ve been exposed to it is only average.

Love Allan Hamilton and his teachings..but
I love Allan Hamilton and his approach for horsemanship. However, I found the narrator of his book awful. I even went to Barnes and Noble and bought his book Zen Mind Zen Horse - so I didn't have to listen to his voice. I did end up listening to the whole thing - but only in the car, on a long drive, when I had no other option but the radio.

Wisdom for Humans Who Love Horses
Hamilton uses his scientific training, family history, and insight borne of decades with horses to make a compelling case for the tenets of natural horsemanship. His language is compelling although the narration is less so.
I recommend this audio book to all horse people, many of whom spend long hours on the road. It tuned up my daily interactions with horses and increased my gratitude for the work I do with them – and I felt darned grateful before I listened to this book.

Great content
I love this authors work, not only the valuable information about working with horses but also the parallels to life itself. The narration could have been better but the content overrides any inadequacies there.

Narrator
The Narrator is robotic. It would be great to listen to this with a better reader. It is very hard not to get distracted listening to this narrator. Is it a real person or is it a computer generated voice? Please redo this book.
