Publisher's Summary

Galaxy’s Edge returns with an all-new adrenaline-fueled season of the military sci-fi series!

With his duty to the Legion satisfied, Wraith sets out to find a lost member of his crew - the young girl Prisma. Not only does the journey bring with it more death and destruction - and loss - than he ever imagined, it revives the shadows of a forgotten past. The only way forward is to follow the footsteps of the legendary Tyrus Rechs.

Meanwhile, as the galaxy struggles to steady itself following the fall of a corrupt and bloated republic, dangerous threats vie for power. Insidious deep-state operatives, vicious abominations pulled from forbidden savage technology...and something impossibly ancient, awakening at long last to emerge from the darkness between the stars.

I named my cat Prisma and she bites a lot

love how it tied in a lot of arcs from offshoot books, but if you're just reading the main series you won't be super lost without that background

Soooo worth the wait.

With so many branches off of the main storyline it is really neat to see it come together and not in a whimsical, ham fisted manner. The Q and A with the authors at the end was amazing. I, like the authors and likely a lot of you grew up with and loved the original Star Wars so to see their take on obvious likenesses of characters and themes with their own grittiness added in was a pleasure to listen to in the very first GE book and I have not been let down since. This story just keeps getting better, and what some felt was a rough and tumble rip off of Star Wars has become its own fantastic monster. It was great to hear in a limited fashion (in the Q and A) that there are not only in fact plans for the series but amazing plans. I am stoked. Is it wrong to be in my middle age and want a Rechs and Wraith action figures? Because I do, kinda a lot.

Its good to be back.

Nice to be back with Wraith again out on the Edge. I loved being back on a Savage hell ship and seeing what Prisma gets up to with her kickass warbot.

Did not disappoint!

This was excellent. The writers are really starting to tie thier universe together. They have done a great job of delivering more back story while advancing the main plot, and yet they are still holding secrets behind the curtain. Can't wait for the the next installment.

loved the book and story. but the length is a lie.

the last 2 HOURS of the book is them just talking in a discussion. If I pay for a book I want the book not a podcast. extremely annoyed about this.

The book ends with TWO HOURS AND SEVENTEEN MINUTES LEFT!!!!

First of all, I actually got this book, listened to about an hour of it and couldn’t take it anymore, so I returned it. A few weeks later I read some more reviews and decided to give it another chance.
I don’t know which author it is, but one of them, or perhaps both, can be the most annoying and overly dramatic writers I can think of. It’s like they’re trying to be extremely deep in what they say but just bloviate about nonsensical things have almost no relevance to the story. Like describing something in four or five different ways, each description being more hollow and transparently pompous than the previous. Like to describe a hole. Literally, a hole. There’s three or four sentences describing a hole, and each one attempts to be more grandiose than the previous. It’s like someone high on painkillers trying to have a deep conversation about a thumbtack. It got to the point where I was yelling at my car speakers to “oh my god, just get on with the story already!!”
So I returned it. But, as I said, I gave it another chance and I’m glad I did. Ish.
The story is actually really good and they fill in a lot of the backstories for just about everyone. I truly enjoyed all of that, but then there’s the thing. The thing they did and, for some unknown reason, no one thought it was going to piss people off.
The book ends with 2 hours and 17 minutes left. Why, you ask?? For a “round table discussion”.
Personally, I don’t really care about the authors motivations, inspirations, tribulations or any other ations. I realize I’m most likely in the minority with that opinion, but it’s really not cool to sell a 17 hour audiobook and then have 2 hours of that filled with personal anecdotes and other things of that nature. Put out a free one with that stuff if you feel compelled, but don’t set people up for something and then pull the rug out from under them in what ends up being some of the most revealing and interesting parts of the series.
Seriously, all sorts of shockers are Laid out and then it just ends, followed by two hours of more bloviating.

And of course, as always, RC Bray is an absolute genius. You all know what I mean. He’s just amazing.
If I could have a beer with him and Ray Porter…. My life would be complete.

KTF

With the first book of season 2 I was a little put off. Ray was great, and it was a great stand alone book. But pretty much none of the characters returned and the story didn't continue anything from Season 1. Thankfully that is NOT the case with this one. Pretty much everything comes full circle. You WILL get answers and be left with so many questions. You guys did great. I can't believe the amount of buildup that went into this, it's amazing. There are so many small details that if you weren't paying attention you would miss and they come up in this book as important plot points. I can only imagine the amount of planning that went into tieing everything together. Ford went in the EXACT direction I wanted him too. Although, I'm still mad about the twist at the beginning but I think it's temporary... Keep up the awesome work guys.

this book ties in so many other novels and it does so very well where even if you didn't read the spin-off series it doesn't take long to get caught up I'm so glad GE is back

Amazing Change of Pace

This was an amazing showcase for the writing of Anspach and Cole. The book takes you deeper into the Galaxy's Edge than I remember.

The favorites are there, Wraithe, Ravi, Prisma, Crash, Tyrus Rex, and more. It's full of revelations about Wraithe/Keil/Ford ...You just need to read it.

If you have not read other Galaxy's Edge books and are investigating this as a new read, do yourself a favor and start at the series beginnings. You won't regret it!!

More then Expected

I naturally had some expectations, after having read ALL the other books. Always had questions about what happened to certain characters and some gaps in the story.

This book answered most those questions. I don't think a followup has ever been as all encompassing as this book. Could have used some more Legion stuff myself.

I miss Twenties and XO....

Keep up the great work!!

And the hits just keep on coming

I...... how to describe this rollercoaster....... this book is amazing per usual. Anspach and Cole are two of my favorite authors. This book is as good as anything from season one and is not a diluted story at all. Still character development from established person's, enough twists and turns to confuse a snake, and to much drama to take in on one take.

Also listen to the whole thing, the round table/podcast episode at the end is totally worth it.

Didn’t think they could pull it off, they did

I was worried, my concern was what direction the authors might take, if Anspach and Cole could pull it off, up the ante, go big, they do! I’m biased, love the GE universe, and while I can nit pick a bit, overall I thoroughly enjoyed this, the 11th book is fantastic, RC Bray is excellent, per usual. If you are a fan of military sci-fi, start with book one and enjoy the ride, you can thank me later.
