This was my first book by Carrie Anne Ryan and I really enjoyed it. I am a total sucker for a large family small town romance so I ate this book right up. Add in that it’s a brother’s best friend and age gap romance too and this book was an automatic sign up.

Callum Ashford, the first born of the Ashford children, a natural protector and pillar of strength. I loved seeing him let go of the darkness weighing on him from his family’s secrets and find happiness.

Felicity Carter was a great character as well. She knew who she wanted to be and wasn’t scared to go after what she wanted.

Callum and Felicity were a very enjoyable couple. They were very much the classic she’s off limits and he’s too old for her, but she wants him and she’s ready to make him realize she’s more than the little flower he thinks she is.

This book had the perfect amount of sweet and swoony romance, sizzling spice, intriguing suspense and a colorful bunch of characters to keep things interesting.

I’m really excited for the rest of the series! The epilogue preview for Crossroads has me on the edge of my seat for Bodhi and Kiera’s book!

And the extended epilogue with Felicity and Callum had my heart absolutely bursting 🥹🥹.
