This was such a great start to the series.

I was in the mood for a quick, fast paced, fantasy romance and this did not disappoint. Leighton is living with her mom in a small town after her dad passes away at the beginning of the book. Her mom treats her horribly and Leighton is trying to save up enough money to get herself out of that situation. One day, a friend from her past shows up again and takes her to live with him and his “brothers”, little does she know she is about to be thrust into a world she knows nothing about with many enemies who are trying to kill her. I loved all the heroes in this, I love the twists and turns we get along the way. This does end on a cliffhanger, which makes you want to jump into book 2 right away.

I enjoy the trope but the FMC got on my nerves. I prefer the less helpless FMC but am hopeful the story will take a turn so I’ll continue the series. Elite, school, mean girls, reverse harem, magic and shifters.
