Publisher's Summary

Juliet Young always writes letters to her mother, a world-traveling photojournalist. Even after her mother's death, she leaves letters at her grave. It's the only way Juliet can cope.

Declan Murphy isn't the sort of guy you want to cross. In the midst of his court-ordered community service at the local cemetery, he's trying to escape the demons of his past.

When Declan reads a haunting letter left beside a grave, he can't resist writing back. Soon, he's opening up to a perfect stranger, and their connection is immediate. But neither Declan nor Juliet knows that they're not actually strangers. When life at school interferes with their secret life of letters, sparks will fly as Juliet and Declan discover truths that might tear them apart.

Good Book

Any additional comments?

This was a good book. It is high school kids. Which I really didn't realize that. But it was still good. Narration is on point.

I bought this book on a whim and I didn't know what to expect, and it was such a pleasant surprise for me that I loved each moment of it .. it was an amazing performance in every way, the writing style, the characters, the story .. when you can't find a path, make it .. I just love this empowering stories, the narration was equally good and they were suitable for thier characters, most recommended I love it so much

Fantastic!

Wow! What a great listen! This story kept me interested from start to finish. The characters are engaging and very well developed. I cared about them, felt their anguish and joy. Was frustrated by decisions they made when I knew it was the wrong one. The narration was excellent.
I was sad when the story ended, I wanted more...

YES!! What a love story!

I really enjoyed this book!!! I love letter writing and I think it’s a form of art that is underused these days. The cool thing about this book is that it slowly moved towards emails and instant messages. So it definitely keeps up with technology.

The main characters were also very endearing. I loved how both characters were strong-minded and intelligent. Of course Declan had the “bad boy” stereotype, but I like how the author used his trauma to give him depth, charm, and meaning. I liked Juliet. She got slightly annoying towards the end when she started acting impulsive with her words and actions. I don’t like when characters have tons of opportunity to tell the truth and they choose not to out of unnecessary fear “if I tell him who I am, then we’ll lose the magic between us” blah blah blah. Get a grip, girl!

But in the end, I really enjoyed the story and I found myself entranced in the love story that was building. The conflict was also really well done. It didn’t seemed forced and it kept me invested in “how are they going to get through this.”

The narrators were SO good!! Lots of emotion and feeling within their reading. Both worked so well together!

Overall, great story and LOVED that it was taken place in Anne Arundel County, MD.

Awesome

I rarely review audiobooks. However this one deserves a serious kudos. The voice actors did great, but the story was amazing that they had to work with. I was just sad when it ended.

An emotional punch!

This was very good. The narrators did a great job capturing the characters' voices - and the story really put me through the wringer.

Great Voice Actors

The voice actor and actress were truly great! They showed so much emotion as they read! Breathtaking performance! The story is a tiny bit cheesy, but overall it was wonderful!

Fantastic

I rarely write reviews but this one is worth the time. The story, the characters, and the narrators are exceptional. The narrative is challenging and emotionally difficult. Despite the challenging content I found myself engaged and invested in the wellbeing of the characters. While I can’t personally identify with any of the situations the characters experience I was able to empathize with the emotions they were processing. If you are looking for a book with complex characters and a story that explores powerful emotions and the messiness of going though life you will probably enjoy this.

This was an emotional roller coaster

This book made me feel so many emotions. I can’t believe the things that Declan and Juliet found out about their families and themselves. This book had me feeling happy one moment then mad the next then like I’m about to cry. I think any book that can do that more than one time deserves some kind of award for how much emotion the characters make you feel. This book was awesome.
The narrators also did an amazing job. They brought so much life to the characters. The way they voiced it it’s as if they felt what the characters were feeling. Great job on the narration.
All in all this was a great emotional read, And don’t worry if you liked this book you will love the next.
