Fascinating Topic, Dull Narration

The book was well researched and topic intriguing, given the extreme swing toward this other political narrative in schools these days that simply replaced the unbalanced narrative of yesteryear. Unsettling how we can’t seem to find a balanced view when it comes to education which would paint a more complete story of the human condition “good and bad.” Unfortunately, for me, I’m not sure if it was the narrator, the way the book was written, or both, but it was so dry, and just droned on and on, like a boring text book. I struggled to complete the book, and if it wasn’t for the fascinating topic, I would have abandoned it a few chapters in. It’s not a bad book to make reference back to when extremist historical views are shoved in my face though.
