This zen recording of zen teachings is an intimate way to learn. I’ve read many zen books over the past 50+ years but Beck’s approach is unique. For me she nails it. I’d prefer if each section of the recordings of her speaking wasn’t introduced by flute & a voice that the producers choose to use. I sincerely feel it’s not what she would choose. But I didn’t remove star ratings because there are few recordings available of her speaking so I am grateful for what is made available.

How wonderful to hear this teacher speak. Such insight yet her talks also reveal surprising little attachments as with any master of mind. I wonder why she renounced the center she started in San Diego!
