Publisher's Summary
Living a Life of Inner Peace is a recording of one of Eckhart's most moving, transformative talks. The talk is relaxed and funny, and he conveys his message through stories and insightful observation. Eckhart makes us laugh at ourselves, while helping us break through habitual thinking to discover the eternal presence of the Now.
When you listen, you discover that something deeper is happening beyond the words being spoken. A field of alert stillness arises where before there was mental noise. You find yourself in what Eckhart calls a state of presence, and it can lead to a dramatic transformation in the way you live your life.
For those new to Eckhart's teachings, this is an ideal introduction. For those familiar with his work, be prepared for something fresh and extraordinary.

The end was the best!!!👍🏼👍🏼
To be able to take a silent moment to pause at the end to take it all in, finished it perfectly!

A very gentle and wholesome experience
The author does a wonderful job at conveying the message and it truly makes you question yourself and the way you think. It may or may not change your life, but it has for me even while listening... I will listen to it a few more times until the message truly sinks in. I love tjis Audiobook

Light and fun
This is another excerpt from one of Eckhart Tolles talks, where he speaks extemporaneously to a group, rather than reading a book. If you've listened to other talks he's given (most notably Realizing The Power of Now), you know that he is usually in no hurry to share his insights. His speech is often remarkable in that there are often VERY long pauses between his words, so long that you occasionally begin to wonder if your MP3 player ran out of batteries. (I'm not criticizing this - after all, one of his main teachings is to listen to the silence between words - he just gives you lots of opportunity!)
This talk is very different. He comes across as animated, enthusiastic, and funny. He pokes fun of the mind on many occasions, so accurately it feels almost like he can tell what you are thinking. I laughed out loud several times in this delightful 2 hours. The topics he covered extended past those he brought up in the Power of Now, to include what common tricks the mind uses to pull us back out of the present, and how and why it is so important for us always to be right and others to be wrong. This talk seemed to have more immediate practical manifestations in my life than others that he has given. The topics he brought up here reminded me very much of a course I've taken called The Landmark Forum.
The Power of Now itself was the single most life-changing book I have ever read. This talk is a wonderful extension and expansion of the philosophy, but for those unfamiliar with Eckhart Tolle I wouldn't recommend starting with this before listening to The Power of Now.

Inspiring in its simplicity
Echart Tolle came into my life purely by accident when I ordered a Netflix Video series called The Flowering of the Human Conscience by Eckhart Tolle whom I had never heard of. I was expecting something very different. I am beginning to wonder if there was some other force working to help put me on the right track, because I would not have had any reason to rent this DVD disc series. I had only been renting workout videos for the past several weeks. When I stuck it in the DVD player, I saw a simple looking man stepped onto the stage and started talking. My first thought was, oh lord, what the heck did I get myself into here, but after 5 minutes I was captivated, and was blown away by the simple yet powerful message. I was not looking for spiritual direction, but got it non-the-less and in a very enlightening way. I have to date purchased 4 of his audio books, and my life has been changed forever in a gloriously calming way. I am eternally grateful for this chance meeting with Mr. Tolle, and his life-changing message about the meaning of life.

One of My Favorites
This is one of my favorite audible downloads. I've listened to it several times. If you liked Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now" and his teaching, you will enjoy this recording. He is talking to the audience rather than reading a book. It is full of insights, practical examples, and humor. Eckhart Tolle's common-man personality comes through.

clear, inspiring and amusing
A clear, inspiring and amusing compendium of Tolle's teachings about the power of NOW, the power of the present moment as the only moment for true peace and happiness ("you can't find yourself in time, you can only find yourself in the now")

Yikes!
I suffered through 20 minutes of this title before I couldn't stomach it any further. Tolle's voice is SO eerily creepy. He talks tediously slow, and has the most painful sense of humor.
This title should only be recommended to those needing a solid reason to kill themselves.

A way to peace
All in all a good bargain at the price. Really not all that different than the Power of Now but his interaction with the audience is a nice touch. I personally like his slow delivery and concise words. His voice and message brings peace to my world.

Every listen, I learn something new. AND funny!
I have listened to this talk dozens of times. Literally. It is amazing. And funny!!! I’d come to the end and think, “Tell me again...” and start it over. It changed my life and it’s been 8 years and the change stuck. I love this so much.

Simplicity!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to a friend or anyone that needs to let go of the past and live in now with inner peace and understanding
What did you like best about this story?
Eckhart Tolle brings his teaching in such simplistic manner, if you are willing to take it in and receive the teaching it is there. The end of the teaching was very powerful for me!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me cry at the end because I truly experienced the total experience of inner peace, knowing that it is in that moment of complete silence that we come to know God.
Any additional comments?
Eckhart Tolle has a very humble quiet way of teaching, he does laugh quietly through the program which does not bother me as i know it is him realizing truth that comes to him. He is not arrogant in any way or make himself seem superior. I love that about his teachings.
