Publisher's Summary
Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office.
All the t's are crossed and i's dotted on Ellen's application. Her references are good. And she's easy on the eyes.
Until...
Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers, Board-Certified Music Therapist, plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing - not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones.
The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly humming redhead who's too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen's side when Flint's autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her. A single dad can't compete with guitars - and rats. Yes, she has pet rats.
This woman...
She's annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch him-adjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind.
Still...
She must go.
Their lust-hate relationship escalates into something beautiful and tragic. This sexy, romantic-comedy explores the things we want, the things we need, and the impossible decisions parents and children make to survive.
Contains mature themes.

Jewel always delivers
Loved the book when I read, and the audio did not disappoint. My only complaint is Flint, his voice in my opinion didn't match what I had in my head.

Holy flying fudge waffles
If you are looking for a sweet, not too dramatic, lovely, feel good (most of the time) book, look no further. It is a romance novel in the best sense of the word, and the narration is on point.
Delightful!

Fantastic Book!
This book was truly an unexpected surprise! I had it in my TBR for a while and just randomly picked up the audiobook so it could keep me busy during my 2-hour lash appointment and I was hooked from the Prologue!
This was simply beautiful and perfect and the book I didn’t know I needed it. Like I said, it was completely unexpected because I thought it would be more of a romantic comedy but I was totally wrong. While there’s lots of funny moments, and the banter between the leads is simply hilarious, this book was sooo much more. It’s about healing and second chances, it’s about leaving with regrets, it’s about allowing yourself to live after tragedy and not just exist.
Flint, oh how much I loved Flint. He was so broken, but had so much love to give. And he was such a wonderful dad. And Elle, she was just all sorts of awesome, loved her. And Harrison, I can’t even with him. And all the other side characters, Amanda, his parents, her dad. Everyone was so amazing and so supportive. It’s what family is all about.
I loved this book, so much, I went through all sorts of emotions. I cried, and books rarely make me cry. I completely and utterly loved a book about a dead spouse, freaking finally! I know this is an older book, but this is absolutely one of my top reads this year and I absolutely recommend it!
PS: The audiobook is also freaking amazing. I love Stephanie Rose but I don’t believe I’ve heard Troy Duran before but I just became an insta-fan, he was fantastic!

🔥🔥🔥Troy Duran could narrate the phone book 🔥 🔥🔥
This story will break your heart and then rebuild it. The romance is so sweet and grows from loss for both characters. It is a steamy but oh so passionate story. It has a lot of comic relief to break up the intensity of the story. A must read romance with a guaranteed HEA!
Narration was Perfect! Stephanie Rose was awesome but Troy Duran could read the phone book and melt your panties!

Loved it!
Another wonderful Jewel E Ann story! I loved the story line, even though, as usual, I was brought to tears more than once. Simply relatable and flawed characters whose stories are woven together fantastically. Narration was perfect and I think Troy Duran just became my new favorite male performer! Well worth every minute!

1st read from this author - I will add her to my list of favorites
Recommended by another author so I thought I would give Jewel E Ann a try. I thought this book was great. Sad, sexy, smart, and funny... so funny. The characters’ banter was witty and embarrassing moments were so surprising - I literally laughter out loud. The author lightened the serious theme and situations with well placed and unique diversions. Top notch narration. Sexy times were subtle and yet still hot. That’s a talent. I look forward to my next read.
