Very interesting world building but the nerrator kept putting me to sleep

This is a very tragic story and frankly has zero romance in it. The narrator is so softly spoken they kept lulling me to sleep! A very interesting and rather unique take on heaven, angels etc… with plenty of tragedies throughout.
