MC is still interesting, especially her creative use of her special power set, but the book contains some multi-front, multi-pov battles that last many chapters - it's very typical of what you can find in an epic fantasy, but I'm not a fan of that sub-genre. I especially dislike the trope of characters taking on a more powerful foe, keep trying different strategies, keep coming up short, but eventually get a last-second clutch victory ... feels like a drag
