Publisher's Summary

I never meant to say a word, not one single word. But I did.

And now, because of my blog, everyone knows that Ice Knights hockey star Ian Petrov's best friend and fellow player is actually his half brother - hello, hockey Hall of Famer dad who couldn't keep his jeans zipped.

That wouldn't be such a big deal if Ian knew. He didn't, and boy howdy is he pissed. And who is he most mad at? Oh sure, he's upset with his dad and former best friend/brother from another mother, but most of his ire is with me. It's definitely a case of hating the messenger.

And what could make it worse? How about the two of us being trapped together in a remote cabin after a massive blizzard. Neither of us can leave. Just us, the snow, his resentment, and OMG sexual tension so thick it would take a snowplow to break through it.

I've got to get out of here before I do something even dumber than I've already done and kiss the sexy snarly grump with his misplaced anger and perfect pecs. That would be the worst, the absolute worst. That's why I'm not going to do it. Nope. Really. So why can't I stop imagining what it would be like?

LOVE

I love listening to Avery Flynn’s audibles. Good story, good narrators. My only dislike was all the Fbombs. Can’t wait for the next book!

Assh*@e Father all out for himself.

How parents can screw up their kids is amazing, but worse when the parents could care less. Even the smallest choice a parent makes can change the future for their child. I feel for Ian. I feel for Alex. I understand why Ian can't let it go or deal. He has the right to freak out for awhile. I was upset at the teams administration for forcing him to deal in public. Or Lucy for forcing them all together. Plus, Alex has a huge head. Dude needs to have someone take him down a peg. The good thing is he isn't a total dick like his dad. He just knows how good he is and makes sure to tell everyone. He needs a book in the future. One where he finds a women who deflates his ego a bit. I love the Heroine and even though the Hero is an angry bear, he shows the inner teddy bear. The Heroine has shown she is a survivor and even with her previous weaknesses, she has grown strong. I love a strong independant women who don't need men, but find comfort in good ones arms. The performance was great and I enjoyed it so much I barely though about the voices. Just the story. I love it when that happens. Worth the listen.

Mouthy good times

Gotta stop expecting rom-coms with cartoon covers to be Hallmark sweet. There’s plenty of F bombs, piss and vinegar banter (aka foreplay), and mouthy, explicit sex (as soon as 2 hrs in). But, that’s okay: I like dirty talk and friction involving sassy gals and hunky hockey guys. Narrators were initially off-putting (her valley girl voice, his female voice-yeesh), but a few chapters in and I was sold. The conflicts are contrived and a bit overplayed, but for a $3, 6hr romance, I easily forgave this and enjoyed the fast fireworks.

Not as good as the last books

The characters were intriguing but the story was choppy and shallow. I was left wanting more of the story

Nice next in the series

I have enjoyed the Ice Knights series, but this one wasn't my favorite. He was a little hot and cold for my tastes. I get the big bad secret and the a-hole father, but he seems super emotional. Very angsty in the beginning, and then leaps to misunderstanding. I really liked that our heroine had a different look and vibe from so many long haired pretty girls, and I liked how the story addressed her past addiction. I was happy when they sorted themselves out and found their HEA but he should spend time with a therapist before she actually marries him.
