Not my favorite novel from this author.

It all seemed to be a little bit disjointed. I was confused about who the hero was supposed to be until well past the midway point. This is normally fine in a book if it is part of the angst, but it wasn't. I couldn't connect to any of the male characters, because I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and figure out what the twist, plot, or even story line was for these characters, but nothing ever happened. By the time I was sure who the love interest was we were supposed to be rooting for, nothing really happened and it was kind of...."an ohhhh....that's it?" moment for me towards the end of the book. Also, the heroine was one of the weakest people I've read in any story, supposedly not being able to resist her ex if he was within 2 feet. It got old in a hurry. He was supposed to be this awful cheater of a person, but we never saw any negative of him other than her ramblings of his past mistakes and I just ended up feeling bad for him in the end and just not liking the heroine at all.
The upsides were that Alessandra's writing is always well done even though this book just wasn't for me, and the narration was decent. The volume levels of the narrators voice was an issue though, so the audio production definitely could've been better.
I love Alessandra's books, so I'm hoping this book was just a blip and it just wasn't for me, but I'll absolutely be one-clicking her next one.

Favorite for years to come!

I loved this story after reading it so much I had to get it on audio. I love it even more now having listened to it. Carter & Chloe's story is swoon worthy!! This will be a book/audio that I will indulge in over & over every year. I hope A. Torre gives us more ...I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Vic spin off!!!! Makes me giddy thinking about that possibility 😁😍😋

Perfection

This story would make the perfect movie. This seems to be the way that Alessandra Torre writes and I love it. Loved Hollywood Dirt also.

Funny, empowering, and sexy

This book shows the struggle of a rich to poor to amazing women all while being funny, empowering and sexy! I listened to it via audible and it was just such a good book, so easy to follow along. Started slow, but totally worth it!! Absolutely love Chloe!!

Couldn’t Wait for it to Be Over

The characters had no depth. It was scattered and ridiculously long. Female narrator does terrible male voice, they always sound depressed.
Just nothing to connect to in this book.

Entertaining.. But racy

I liked the story. It was interesting enough to want to listen to, but I could have done without all the sex scenes. I found myself skipping past every time one came up, like enough already, we get it, they like each other. The love story between the two main characters was a bit forced and a little unbelievable. Chloe is this high end girl that came from all this money and when she lost it, not once did they mention her wanting to go shopping or struggling with only wearing what she already owned because she had no money. But the author talks about her wearing the expensive stuff. It just wasn't realistic. Overall, it is an easy beach read and worth it if you have time to kill and want something light.

Feel Good

I went into this story blind other than what the caption/summary provided. The story is about the personal growth Chloe goes through over the course of a year. There weren't any crazy OMG over the top moments but I enjoyed the story nonetheless. Very well written and Rose performed exceptional.

No Thanks

I did not care for this story at all.

It was about a spoiled college age girl whose parents loose everything due to something illegal and it goes on and on and on about awful it is to be a poor college student after having everything handed to her on a silver platter.

I quit this one halfway through and returned it.

Rose Dioro is the narrator for this one and she is fantastic as always though!

(I removed this in August of 2019 but apparently did not review. Borrowed again to review)
