If you like drama

Not my cup of tea. I really wish I could say this was what I thought it was going to be but I can't. Ig does get a little better toward the end, or I just got conditioned to it. There is a lot, I mean a lot of drama. Not the good mystery/ suspense kind. There is also a great deal of religious fervour. Now I am a active Christian and have seen and experienced a lot of things, but this was overboard. Even with a psychological diagnosis. The characterization was good, though many of the personalities excessive. And some of the information interesting. The story, in my opinion doesn't make anyone or anything look very good. That was sad.

Others my not share my opinion, if you like drama, you may like this story. I believe it was well written, at least well voiced anyway.

I recieved a free Audible copy of this story, at my request, in exchange for a honest review.

Enjoyed the Story Lines

Love is Enough is a very sweet story, following different sisters. The stories were all different and good. I was excited for the Biblical base to these stories. I found in parts these Biblical parts were a little intense, but I did like the high morality that many of the characters have. The plot and characters seem realistic. The story ended in a way I did not see coming and I cannot wait to listen to the second book!

Autumn Woods does an amazing job with the narration. I felt the emotions very easily with her narration. There was a part that she yells and it made me feel both the anger of the character but it also made me jump as it sounded like it was happening right next to me. The narration was flawless and I cannot wait to listen to Woods in another book. Her voices were all VERY clear. I could not pay attention to who was talking by what she said, but knew who was talking by her voice.

I received a copy of this book at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

I liked narration

I enjoyed the beginning of the story where we meet every sister and get to know a little bit about their life and love. However several things didn't make sense to me or were too unbelievable, such as an experienced detective was clueless while our heroine solved the crime, or the Business Analyst scene. I liked the characters, all 3 sisters were well written and I enjoyed following their love struggles as well as their character development. Overall the story was too simple with very few surprises. Narrator did a good job, I liked her voice and the way she told this story.

Amazing journey

An interesting start of a story of three sisters finding love after their parents pass. This is the first in the series about family, the love of God, in an engaging contemporary romance series ending on a cliffhanger to setup and follow another sister's journey of finding love. This is the youngest sister who has emotional issues that affect her relationship with God but shows his healing power. I voluntarily reviewed and listened to this interesting series with great addicting characters that beautifully narrated.

An overwrought melodrama

This is a Christian melodrama. Which isn't automatically a bad thing, except in this case, it is. It's overdone, & though the premise was interesting enough to draw me to try it, the characters are a bit stereotyped & come across as author puppets rather than realistic people so things just aren't very believable.

Sienna is an emotional mess suffering from scrupulosity - I was surprised to see that being addressed in a non-Catholic book. Unfortunately, combining the spiritual psychology and romance aspects to handle it is less than ideal, as any counselor will tell you. It seems like the author may have read about it in an article or layman's book and ran with it.

(Frankly, the biggest jolt I got, though, was the author referring to Luther as an "early Church Father" - I suppose Lutherans might feel that way but certainly not Christians as a whole.

The early Church Fathers are those like St Justin the Martyr, St Polycarp of Smyrna, & St Ignatius of Antioch who lived in the early days of the Church & were taught by the Apostles.)

I'm afraid this is one of my rare DNFs

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses

Clean Christian Book

You have Sienna getting married and trying to figure out what God wants her to do, get married or pursue her career. She is an emotional wreck with nightmares. You have three sisters on 3 different paths for love. a sister who's husband who messes around. a strong sister who is a police woman. Sienna leaves Derreck at the alter. This is an emotional storyof the lives of 3 totally different sisters over a year. The characters are believable and interesting. I enjoyed this book. Autumn Woods does the narration and maintains your interest. Good Christian book.

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It follows three sisters and what they want. The narrator does a wonderful job of reading each character.

Unexpected delight!

I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved this book. All the sisters are interesting and their men. This is more than romance, it also has some mystery. I am a Christian and I wish more of these kinds of books existed. You can have love and romance without the filth. The narrator really got into the book. When a character yells, she yells. Very good book. Can't wait to get into book 2 and 3.

Clean and Comprehensive

This story was absolutely sweet. It is exactly the kind of audiobook you could listen to in the car, or on a time crunch, and the detail was easy to picture, and the VA had a good pace for you to understand what was going on. I really enjoyed listening to it.
