This book presents a therapy that focuses on precisely these areas. Laurel Parnell, leader and innovator in the field of eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), offers us a way to embrace two often separate worlds of knowing.

Publisher's Summary
The best-selling author of Hold Me Tight presents a revolutionary new understanding of why and how we love, based on cutting-edge research.
Every day, we hear of relationships failing and questions of whether humans are meant to be monogamous. Love Sense presents new scientific evidence that tells us that humans are meant to mate for life. Dr. Johnson explains that romantic love is an attachment bond, just like that between mother and child, and shows us how to develop our "love sense" - our ability to develop long-lasting relationships.
Love Sense covers the three stages of a relationship and how to best weather them; the intelligence of emotions and the logic of love; the physical and psychological benefits of secure love; and much more. Based on groundbreaking research, Love Sense will change the way we think about love.

A requirement for anyone socially conscious
This book will challenge a lot of the ways we think in regards to not only relationships, but society as a whole. The social animal that is the ’modern human’ is going through a sort of maladaptive transition; where we advance with technology at a rapid rate, but is leaving us ostensibly left feeling lost from each other. If you want to grow beyond this negative inheritance we ‘modern humans’ are given, read this book, and watch yourself gain some amazing perspectives!!

The most painful book I’ve ever listened too
This is hands down the most painful audio book I’ve sat through
No person under 75 would be able to sit through this, also no millennials or IGens would want to listen to this book.
There isn’t a single male I know who would listen to this and it not be like nails on a chalk board
This women doesn’t speak in a way to keep listeners interested and her story’s sound like something you’re great grandmother would tell you about her and her husband
This is not relatable to 2020 marriages and real life
I like the point she’s trying to get across but failed to keep me interested
Was really hoping to enjoy this!
