Publisher's Summary

Anger. Anxiety. Frustration. Worry.

We've all felt the power of these emotions and lived to regret the speed with which we spoke from or even acted on them.

We know we need to slow down and calm down before that torrent of emotion sweeps us away - but how?

What if you could understand those feelings better? Not ignore them or stuff them down, but actually harness their power to improve your relationships?

That's the journey Joël Malm will take you on in Love Slows Down. Whether you're feeling the constant weight of worry, flashes of fury, or the exhaustion of always being on edge, there is a way to understand what triggers your emotions and put the brakes on. You can slow down and respond with love.

Gets You Thinking

Wow. I initially read this cause I was so angry with my husband but after reading it, I truly realize the only thing I can and should work on is myself. This book goes beyond just understanding anger. It is a guide book for how to live your entire life!

Great Insight !

I loved this book. It was engaging & it provided me with a great overview of anger. I never thought about it in the ways that it is explained & how much it is related to fear & anxiety. I want to listen again & take notes this time !

Challenging and Encouraging

Well written and well told. I needed to hear what was said even when I did not like it in the moment. It is a good medicine, sometimes is hard and yet always good.

This book helped heal me.

I just had a total hysterectomy due to endometriosis and I have been going through some serious anxiety. This book helped me more than anything else as I have felt extremely lonely as I have gone through this experience. This book changed it all for me.

Exactly what I needed to hear

The words in this book spoke to me and hit me like a ton of bricks. I will reread this book and take thorough notes because so many good things were said in it.

Simply great

Hands-down one of the best self-help books I have ever read for anger and anxiety. Not only does it help with that and how to cope with it but also helps and so many other facets of today’s busy lifestyle. I will probably re-read this book 10 times over.

Very good book for type a personality

I know the guy in real life I never would’ve thought he would’ve written such a good book.

Great book okay Narrator

Let me start by saying I highly recommend this book to everybody. You get way more out of the book than you expect from reading the summary synopsis. The narrator was OK in my opinion. It was a little slow and therapy like. But as you continue to listen to the book it starts to bother you less and the meat and potatoes of the continent of what’s being said is absolutely amazing. I plan on rereading this book. I also plan on encouraging others to read the book as well.

Uncanny valley of narrators

Apparently the narrator is an actual human, but I was never quite sure. He sounds so close to human, but pretty close to robotic too. It distracted me so much that I was losing the message and content, which honestly isn't that good either. If you have been dealing with anger and maybe read other books you certainly won't find anything new here. There were a few passages that I could appreciate, but not enough to finish the book.
