too much lust, not enough love

I had reservations about this book's theme, but gave it a shot anyways because Gabra Zackman has a supremely sexy voice (if you like them a little deep and classy; she does Cassie's voice for those wondering which voice actor is which-- The Road to You by Harper Bliss is better, if you like her but not this book, so long as you don't mind books getting a bit rambly). Zackman's performance: 5 stars.

I also would unfortunately avoid the other narrator in the future. Her voice is a bit high and harsh and her acting out of emotions was not good enough for me to get over that. And as I'm an anime fan, that's saying something. That said, I can't say me not liking her voice is her fault and her performance wasn't bad, just not outstanding. Alexandra Shawnee's performance: 3 stars. Averaged performance for the book 4 stars.

Unfortunately, my misgivings on the theme weren't entirely misplaced. If you want to know more about whether or not there is infidelity and how far it goes before giving this book a chance then read past my spoiler tag.

The infidelity doesn't go past kissing and a bit of bonding like you'd get hanging out for several hours, but it's still hard to listen to 6 hours or so of people lusting after each other while one or the other is in a relationship. I liked that there were some reasons beyond lust for the characters, but they were woefully under explored. That said, having the integrity to break things off before leaving someone at the altar or beyond does take its own sort of courage.
