This story has great potential, when two boys who are closer then brothers are growing to become men when invaders force them to grow up faster then most children should. Feist has restored his original manuscript to add depth and detail previously missed when he first published.

An excellent blend of Norse and Greek lore into a mythology very unique and amazing.

Would not hesitate to recommend. Only a few odd names fixed in post production that stand out as odd otherwise good narration.

Nicholas Smith has a great voice, but doesn't seem to be paying attention to the story he's reading at all. He frequently emphasises the wrong words in a sentence, which breaks the flow and is terribly distracting. It's like he's just listening to his own voice instead of the story itself. Although I LOVE this author, I will never again buy an audiobook with Nicholas Smith narrating.

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for inspiration to run dnd; relatively low magic, believable characters, some minor court intrigue, good tension, and of course, adventure! The narrators performance was excellent and speaks clearly.

Nicholas Guy Smith brings the characters to life and the story had me hanging from the seat of my chair. i am looking forward to book two.
