So many mixed feelings about this set

Firstly, I wished the audio book separated each book rather than looping into one 50 something chapter book. Book one was meh, i liked the mystery but guessed the killer immediately. The book was too short for the romance and the story behind the main character’s trauma. Book two ruined the entire thing for me. I didn’t like any of the characters and talk about toxic. I found myself skipping repeatedly and skipped right to the third story.
Book three the cop is an ass and I’m thinking I’m skipping this one too (currently listening). If I skip this one, I am done with this set. The narrator for book three is ok with a Spanish accent, but why does Kai Tashiro have a Spanish accent?

So far, other than book one, the mystery doesn’t make up for the broken characters and toxic relationships.
