About this listen
All my life, death was right around the corner. I just never expected it to be delivered by the man I was falling in love with…
Magic has been outlawed for almost a century, and anyone caught wielding it or bearing its mark is executed. Which is why I know every day could be my last.
I'm marked for death. My skin bears the branding of the moon. I just thank the stars that it's not somewhere visible.
For one night, I willingly put myself in danger, picking a stranger to lose myself in before I begin my life of servitude to the crown as a member of the King's Guard. But the man I thought was a stranger turns out to be the Blade of the King, Thorn, my new boss.
It doesn't matter that he's temptation incarnate or that the slightest flick of his fingers against my skin brings back echoes of the night we spent in each other's arms. We can never be together again because I can't risk losing this job, and I definitely can't risk him finding out my secret.
Not everything in the Eaorin Kingdom is as it seems, though, and my boss has secrets too. Ones that are just as deadly as my own…
The first book in a new fantasy romance series, Marked by the Moon is filled with steamy enemies-to-lovers romance, mystery, a heroine who will fight for everything she has, and a hero who might just be a villain. For fans of Elisa Kova, Sylvia Mercedes, and LJ Andrews, this thrilling forbidden love romance will keep you entranced until the very last word!

Modern terms
Some of the terms used didn’t fit the time period of the story (whiplash, snitch, etc). Overall the story is interesting.

interesting storyline
I like the story line, it could have been reduced 25% I think. a lot of repetition
narration was good (I always wish every book was in duet, but although it wasn't both were enjoyable)

Interesting premise but could be better
To start off, the performances were fantastic and I want to hear more from both of these actors. The story was interesting, but amateurish. The writer spent too much time on the big moments and not enough time leading up to them. There was also nowhere near enough chapters from the male lead’s point of view, only one or two. The entire book should have been just from the woman’s point of view honestly.

Great story
I love the narrators of this story. I didn’t realize it was a trilogy until the book was over. Obviously, I had to buy the second one and put a wish list on the third.

It’s fine
Not a lot of depth, lot of things repeated. Just a pretty average story with average writing

Cute
Cute story. Ends on a cliff hanger and other volumes not included in audible catalogue. Big price tag for additional volumes.

Repetitive
A good enough story for being free. I would truly love to know what happens but refuse to use a credit for only 5 hours of content, but that is how Audible rolls... take a single story break it into three parts, offer the first part for free to lure you in, then think you will waste 2 credits for the remaining measly 10 hrs. At least split it in two parts and I would be more apt to pay for the second half

Great read
I loved the books but do feel it could have been one book in total not three
