Publisher's Summary
You probably already know all the obvious health and weight loss tips...so why don't you have your dream body?
What one early reviewer has already said has "transformed my life more than any other book I've read on the subject", Master the Day is a different way to think about getting the health, body, and life you want - by changing tiny habits, no matter what diet you're on.
In Master the Day, you'll learn:
- The nine daily success habits of people that lost over 100+ pounds in a healthy way, and kept it off years later
- The four horsemen of the health apocalypse - what simple, overlooked habits cause repetitive failure no matter how many diets we try
- Unlimited motivation - the willpower and discipline myth: How to be healthier with less discipline, and without all the "fitspiration" rah-rah motivational junk.
- How not having weight loss goals can actually make you more successful - without the constant guilt, self-hatred and frustration

Disappointed headline grabber
Full disclosure: he lost me before 3 chapters were done. The constant dangle of “the one more thing”, the “key secret” and always withholding it drove me crazy. Even when he got around at the end of a chapter of that, he said “the ONE key that will… is two things: mindset and habits”.
Ok.
The final straw was realizing that the book would be about weight loss and not about overcoming bad habits with good ones.

Enjoyed every listening moment
Alexander Heyne held my attention from the introduction of the book when he indicated that achieving weight loss was more than just eating and exercise. Throughout the book certain key concepts were repeated for emphasis to demonstrate his theory of compound interest. The repetition was important for me as I navigated my fears, family history and desire to become better at taking care of the important things to me. The idea of having daily routines are not new and many authors speak to routines as a vehicle to utilize your day effectively. I like the ease with which the strategies can be implemented such as sticky notes and swap negative thoughts for positive ones. I find myself telling my annoying half to shut up and give voice to my focused self. This book definitely changed some of my thinking about Mastering my day to become the amazing person who I was created to be. Thank you Alexander.

Very Gimmicky
The style and sentences are broken down into the standard rhythm of most self help gimmicks. The book is very self centered on the author and is more focused on tearing your confidence down further before building you up. Even then, the catch phrases and techniques are not new and are very proprietary to the author's system.
The techniques taught are that of compound effect habits: little things you can do every day to make yourself better. The words and styles are similar to someone selling you their multi level marketing lifestyle plan.
I do not recommend this book if you are looking for help building healthy lifestyle habits.

so helpful that I decided to listen to it again!
I found this book inspiring and eye opening. setting was clearly articulated and it all just makes sense.
I am not overweight, but I can apply the learnings from this book to my everyday life. I have a full time job and a family so I always held off on my dreams due to lack of time. this book helped motivate me to just do a little each day.

A definite read to make a real difference
Highly motivational. Alex definitely reads his book with purpose. Taking the day by mastering habits is a wonderful way of accomplishing goals whether it be food/weight related or just trying to fulfil yourself in other aspects of life. Does become repetitive at times, but only drives home the point more. Would recommend.

BEST book I’ve read/listened to in Many YEARS!
I’ve been an Audible customer a long time and have bought several books whose sample snippet was misleading. I’ve wanted to return those books—-but didn’t! THIS book delivered wonderfully, practical, useful information and so many stories I could relate to. I loved that the author read it, I could hear his passion, he was believable, and Alex has a great voice for reading. Some people really shouldn’t read aloud nor even be recording ANYTHING - and I’ve got some of those collecting dust in my Audible library - can you buy them back, Audible?? 🤣 Guess what? I’m about to read it AGAIN!! =) BTW - I’ve never taken the time to provide online feedback on anything..... I felt an urge & obligation this time - that’s how much this book meant to me. Thanks, Jan T.

perfect book!
I loved how much this book focus on process, rather than achieving goals (although you will definitely achieve them, if you follow the right steps)
this is not just about productivity, it’s also about happiness and living your life to the fullest. it’s realistic and human. loved it so much

Sounds like a detailed plan to master the day
Alex has a detailed plan that beats Tony Schwartz’s “Power of Full Engagement.” The no-goals method, maintainer strategy, 1% better daily rule, and try a little bit has already got me motivated. I need to check this out again!

A life changing book.
A book to read more than once. And definitely once every year. It made me realise that my focus was misplaced and that was why I could not get results
