I've read a few of Michelle Moran's books and while she is always tries to make her main character sympathetic, I wasn't convinced by this one. It felt like a very rough one-sided story in which the person omits everything that makes them sound bad. In doing so for the story of Mata Hari, you risk taking away this amazing woman's agency.

I didn't enjoy this book. I couldn't stay focus. Despite me reading all Michelle other books with such a passion amd being so excited to read this one, I couldn't get through it.
